Basketball

I haven't played ball at competition level for quite some time.
Since 05 I think, when we had a house tournament then.

Anyway, yup! This Saturday will be 3-on-3 competition at Bond Uni.
I'm so looking forward to playing.
Ha ha. fade-away jump shots,
But after watching so many series of slam dunks, I realised that it's not those fanciful that win games. It's the fundamentals. The stamina, the block-outs, the simple lay-ups and of course, the simple passing that win games.

Anyway, my last paper for my mid terms tomorrow.
Gotta spend my night for it, well, I'm used to that already.
Personal Finance is getting interesting.

Teaches us how to calculate taxes, superannuation and everything!
LOL
Pretty useful tools I reckon.

Busy day ahead tomorrow!

David & Goliath

"And it was the story of David and Goliath.
How David had faith to kill the biggest person Earth has created."

That was my message for the morning.
Faith!
Sharing the Word of God with the kids is a blessing from God.
To be able to sit down with them and I won't say preach, but share with them what God has in stored for them.

Talked about 1 Samuel 17. The famous epic that has lasted through the decades and centuries.
I was reading that passage myself while preparing the message too.
It was just awesome.
Though it could have been my umpteenth time reading that passage, fresh revelations come out of it. It just refreshes me each time I indulge in the Word.

I also shared with the kids about China and Russia. How people had to smuggle bibles in the past because people weren't supposed to have one?
Many households have bibles
I believe stories like that capture the attention of the kids.
Preaching to the kids takes a lot of patience I would say.
Seriously, I would prefer to preach to adults ten times more than to kids. However, preaching to kids just gives you a satisfaction that you'll never get in your life.

It's unexplainable in words. You wouldn't hear this from me a year ago! But I believe that God has made me to love kids, without knowing it myself. Maybe this might be one of my giftings too. I had reservations of speaking up in the past to people who don't really understand me. But God has transformed me and gave me the confidence I never thought I had. Just before I end off, I just want to say that do not despise youths, because we all were once youths. You never know what youths can do.

Manchester United beat West Bromwich Albion 4-0 at Old Trafford. Wayne Rooney was the Star of the game as he scored a goal and provided another two assists. The other goalscorers were Berbatov, Ronaldo and Nani.

Yep! That's the way United should be playing all season long!

Growing up!

My cousin just recently got married!
Wohoo. Though I can't be there for her wedding, she must be on cloud nine!

The best decision in life for me is definitely choosing Jesus as my personal Lord and Saviour. And I reckon the next best is definitely going to be the one whom you are going to spend the rest of your life with eternally.

The most important decision determines where we go after we die, and the latter will either create a heaven on earth or hell on earth. Nevertheless, very stoked for her! Exchanged a few messages on FB with her and wished her all the best for her future endeavours.

Semester 4. End of Week 6. Phew. My MSE is coming up! Lol. Gonna spend the rest of my day, tomorrow and Saturday mugging hard for Finance. They're really interesting actually, just that I don't have the motivation to go for it at times. To tell you the truth! I have to take a shower at times, eat a cup of noodles at times and even have some chocolate just to get myself back into the studying mood. Then after that, mode. Lol. No mood, no mode.

Ok. I'm talking to Jia Yang now. And he's refusing to tell me his secrets. But then secrets are secrets and they are meant not to be told, except to me.

Lol

Have Faith

Have faith.

Economy is not going good, but nevertheless, have faith!
Aussie dollar is depreciating, I'm extremely happy!
To the max.

Anyway. I want to talk about friends.
There are people whom you just click with.
Although I am ok with almost everyone, I don't click with every of them.
I guess that's why God made people different.
Different personalities, different way of thinking, but one goal! One goal that is to succeed in life.
I pray that I will love the unlovable. It's hard, but I'll try.
Not that I'm facing this sort of problem, it just amazes me how fast I click with certain people, some in just seconds and we can joke about each other. But some a lifetime, but we'll never be able to do so?

When I look at the KK bunch of people, like Felix. Lol.
It amazes me because the moment I knew him, he invited me over to his place and we've clicked since then.
Not that I just click with guys - I also clicked with Jane instantly, just talked to her like 10 secs and out came all those nonsense.. Like "I was born in London, my dad and mum were bla bla, I tried to draft for Man Utd, but they say I was too good for them, they don't have the resources to fund my wages. And then we moved to SG" lol. As for the Man Utd part, I never did say that!

But somehow, I kind of want to know those people I don't really click with.
I never really clicked with FX until we knew each other better.
And he's certainly one of those guys I would call up when I have issues.
I've nothing to hide from him.. Whenever we talk, we just talk. And I miss him like hell.
Text me bro!

I guess God puts people in our lives for a reason.
Love those you can click. And especially love those that you can't.
Because we tend to love the former much more than the latter.
It's normal. But let's do more of the latter.
It's like an essay writing... lol.
But then, it's good.

Wanna go somewhere, but I don't know where.
Climb a mountain? Possibly.
Kota Kinabalu's a good place.
Hopefully, I'll have the chance to climb that mountain next year!
I really pray that my plans to KK works out!
Really want to visit that place and see how special the place is!

Love
Bryan!

Breaking news!

The exchange rates of Australian has been falling and today, Singapore dollar became stronger than Australian dollar!!

It's now 1SGD - A$1.028.
It's also better for Malaysians now. It's A$1-2.3Ringgit.
But I speculate that it's not going to stay there any further.
However, I doubt that most money exchanger would carry Australian dollars as it's not beneficial to do so.
Hopefully by December, the exchange rate would remain relatively the same.
Ha ha. That would be really awesome.

Finally put what I've studied to some use. It's really much more interesting now!
Lol.

Hola

It's good to be back for kingdom night last night.

And my exam timetable for the Final Year Examination has been out (When mid-semester is only in 2 weeks' time??).
That's awesome, it allows me to play for yet a while more before heading home to catch a breather hopefully??

Tentatively, Examination will be over by 10th of December...... Yay! 4 days before last year's! I really really want to go over to KL or KK and meet up some of my friends and see how their houses are like. So exciting man!

Food in Malaysia is definitely much nicer and needless to say, cheaper.

Current financial turmoil has spill over to Formula One Racing.
"Oxfordshire-based Williams F1, the only of the sport’s 10 teams not owned by a car manufacturer or a billionaire, reported a £21.4m net loss in its 2007 accounts, halving its shareholder funds to just £15m."

That's not good news for all of us.

Alright. Getting back.

Understanding Buildings

Functionality and performance requirements...

What on earth is this man!
Luckily, I have Lenni to do this project with.
Lenni is this guy that has the exact same birthday as me.. More than that, we're born on the same day, and he's just 1 hour older.
God just knows how to bring people together, doesn't he.
Ha ha. Yeah. Finished a project on Tuesday, another one due on Monday!
They just never cease don't they?

That's what you get when you study Property.
Not much examination, but heaps of projects.
I'm looking forward to field trip (But there isn't any).

I have learnt quite a few things in property, but there is always this feeling that I am not learning enough. lol. Just don't know why. Alright. I'm going to take charge of the upcoming project. Gotta make it good man. I've seen other groups handing in project by stapling each individual part on the day of submission (I was stunned, for about 5 sec, and they almost God-liked me), so there's this on huge pile of individual work. lol. I'm glad that some of my team-mates bother to put in the effort and not all talk.

I'm feeling the HEAT for Understanding Building's Project right now.
Ha ha. I'm doing fine. Yes, fine!

Nick Vujicic

Just so amazed when I see this...
What can't be done?
Tell me about it!

??

He's coming to Singapore this November.
I can't be there for that.
But if you're interested. You can ask me (:

Chance...

John Howard was amazing in his delivery of speech to us.
Simply breathtaking.

He was the one who supported the establishment of Bond University as the first Australian private University. I was amazed.
He was also the person who introduced Fee-Help.. Which helped Australian students to fund their education at a very low interest. Not sure about the low interest though. lol.

Anyway. His main topic was "The Battle for Global Leadership" He talked about being a leader in the global marketplace. How we should react to the Sub-Prime crisis that is happening to the US. And certainly, his views about China becoming a dominant force in the near future.

Most of us didn't have much of a chance to have a chat with him.
The main Australian media like Channel 9 were all gathered in the Cerum theatre (Yes, it was that big). John Howard even rejected an invitation to go to the Washington, US to give a speech.... And the reason is that he prefers speaking to Bond Uni students (My assumption). Although he could get MUCH more $$ out of that (:. That's partially understandable because of his OZ heritage.

The way someone from office talks is just different (Former Premier in this case). That innate sense of humour... The wisdom... and the presence he carries is just immensed. People who can't get a seat at the theatre were just standing everywhere. Ha ha. I'm lucky I did get a seat though!

I believe that the house of God should be like that, there will be people that are so hungry for the word that they are even willing to stand up for the entire service just to receive the Word of God from the Man of God.

Finally had a chance to talk to my good friend Felix. Thinks he's glad to be back. Shared our experiences in Melbourne. (:

Tty soon!

Bryan Yeeee

john howard

Darnley can't wake up for John Howard's seminar. Haha. Pretty much expected ba. Anyway, i almost wanted to walk out too, after seeing vast number of people in the main theatre, lol. Anyway, John Howard's in the house. I'll update more later dude. Hah.

Maybe

Fasting...
Ha ha. I'm fasting. Not from food..
But from something else. Should declare to the whole world what it is after I break fast.

Man. ((:. Are those things meant to be or not?
Felt homesick all of a sudden. ha ha.
Miss Pastors, Garrett, the leaders in the office..
Miss friends.
Heaps of them.
Ha ha. By the time I'm back, we'll all be grown ups.
Driving our cars... Doing different stuff, from the things we used to do.
and worrying things on a macro scale.
Yes! Life just gets more macro-er.

But well, I'm still coping well. The missing spell just passed by, like a wave. So, I'm alright now.
The workload at Uni has been pretty hectic. I haven't had a chance to really breathe. ha ha.
Just handed in another assignment today.
Woke up at 5a.m. just to chiong it. (:
I'm feeling kinda groggy now, but all things are possible.

Alright.
Former President John Howard will be coming to Bond Uni tomorrow
I really wanna get to listen to what he has to say.
((:. Although many criticize him for what he has done, but I believe if one can be a PM of a country, like Australia, he must have certain qualities!!!

Servant Heart!

Servant Heart

STANDING IN AWE OF YOUR GRACE

SETTING MY FEET IN YOUR WAYS
ENTERING INTO YOUR PRESENCE
TO BEHOLD YOU FACE TO FACE

GOD OF ALL HEAVEN AND EARTH
HOLDING ME IN YOUR EMBRACE
UNFAILING LOVE THAT SURROUNDS ME
OH..GOD I STAND AMAZED

MY JESUS, MY LORD
YOU’RE THE LOVE OF MY LIFE
WHEREVER YOU GO
WANNA BE BY YOUR SIDE
NO LONGER I
BUT CHRIST LIVING IN ME
SERVING YOU FOR ALL ETERNITY

MY EYES SET ON YOU
IN THIS RACE THAT I RUN
NO LONGER MY WAYS
LET YOUR WILL BE DONE
MAKE ME A SERVANT
MY HEART'S EVER TRUE
CLINGING TO THE CROSS
I'LL FOLLOW YOU
I'LL FOLLOW YOU

Songs...
"Good music can move our hearts to love God;
ungodly music can entice us to sin..."

This is certainly one of the best lyrics I've ever heard.
Playing it on the guitar certainly has the same effect too.
I wish... I wish to play it over and over and over again!

Song of my season.. At least. Ha ha.
Certain songs remind me of the struggles I've been through.
There are many songs that have been through the thick and thin with me.
Songs that brought me up another whole new level.
Songs that made me want to rise and soar to a whole new level.

Ha ha. Choose the songs that can lift you up..
The choice is yours. No one is restricting us on what we listen to.
We operate in a free-market, like what my lecturer always says.
And I agree with him totally.
But whatever steps we take certainly affects our future, our walk and our lives.

Have heaps of fun.
Church was awesome tonight!!

2-0!

Headed over to minus 5degs yesterday...
It was really -5 degree celsius.
My legs were sooooo cold as I just worn flats in.
Ohh.. My hands and fingers were freezing as well even though I had gloves, had two drinks - but not particularly strong ones.

Manchester United beat Blackburn Rovers 2-0 at Ewood Park.
Classic Man Utd game. 2 goals, seal the game.

Wes Brown's goal was a bit of a scramble, but the second goal from Rooney, an assist from potential world player of the year C. Ron was fabulous.

Alright. Done enough with commentary.
Anyway, had a long day with the 3 girls from KK as Darnley went for Dota competition, which they won! Congrats mate!
Went to Harbourtown today (First time since a couple of months ago, maybe 6 months? IDK)
As usual, grab a top from Polo as it's half-priced!
And a pair of Skinnies from Levi's.
My first pair since 14 YO. I think!?
Walked around the whole place, really not much interesting already.
I might not visit Harbourtown any sooner I reckon. lol.
Maybe just before I graduate, or maybe not at all, we'll see.

I question the real-fan-ness of the Blackburn Rovers' supporter when they walk out on their team 10mins from time. Hmmm. That's when your team needs the most support. Never walk out on your team, because it hurts their morale!

Arsenal drew with Sunderland and could you believe that Man Utd needed this win to be level on points with Hull City?! That's ridiculous. I reckon Hull might just fade off and probably just survive relegation... Or can they be a Reading a couple of years ago when they got into top ten after coming straight to the premier league.

Assignments day are here to come!
and I'm here to stay.

"Hosanna... Hosanna.... Hosanna in the highest"
A great song.. Are we going to redeem the arts back for Jesus?
I feel that the album "For Your Glory" is a step of redeeming music for God.
It is really of a high standard!
Truly so!

It's going to be a great day!
Stay tune and be blessed.
I believe that Man Utd will win the title 3 years in a row!!!!
There's absolutely no chance for Arsenal, maybe Chelsea, Liverpool or even Aston Villa stand a chance. Aston Villa has been progressing well as a team under the tutelage of Martin O'Neill. Maybe an injection of cash will see them in the top 4 in a couple of years' time!

Make up classs

Came over to Darnley's last night.

Met more KK people as all of them come over to the Coast for a short vacation.
Great, amazing people once again. And I can't leave out this factor - RICH!
lol. It's like a land full of money. Maybe they have a money printing machine secretly.

You guys have to read about Zimbabwe's inflation. You can be a trillionaire there anytime.
They have since reduce 3 zeros to their currency. They used to have this one trillion dollar note. lol. Which I find hilarious because mega-companies spend their lifetime just to get to this mark and they can get it in just one single note... lol.
Of course, one trillion Zimbabwe currency is not worth more than a few loaves of bread back then.

Ok the previous parts were written in the early afternoon..
Anyway, went out with Bec today to pass her her gift.
Thought she liked that.
She missed her bus later on and we had to watch a few movie previews while waiting for her bus. I just couldn't get much out of it.
Had a little bit of hungover due to chionging of projects last night... or rather till early morning..

Went over to Darn's place to pack my stuff and headed home.
Changed into my comfy clothes before I totally surrendered to the bed.
And when I woke up, it just past 12a.m. lol.

Need to get in touch with the things that I'm supposed to get in touch today.
Anyway, I just heard that a guy got hit and killed by a vehicle while participating for Uni games over in Melbourne. Arh. and he's only 19. Man....
