God is good all the time

Hey there. I just wanted a break from this blog while nursing my ankle injury.

Thanks to everyone who played a part.
I haven't been looking forward to Sydney for Awakening until the release of my X-ray yesterday.
But I know I will go no matter what, but I'm just not looking forward to it. There's no broken bone after all.

God is in this equation after all. I have faith that He has healed me.

It's good to have great friends to go through times like this with you.

Well. I'm going to see Pastors and the rest of the people at Sydney soon (I really hope things can work out well). I'll be heading down to Coolangetta in just over an hour's time. It's just 2 days, but it'll be 2 awesome days.

Heh. Just read Vern's blog and wow. it seems fun I reckon.
Ok. gtg.

2 more days

School is starting in 2!
I really want to have a longer holidays.. But in view of the shorter period in exchange for a degree that is equivalent if not better than most other, I am willing to endure. Well. It's really not about that piece of paper. It's important. But then I believe that it is about us. Whether we have progressed as a person or not!

I have painfully updated my multiply account - Have not touched it for quite a long time!
View it if you have the time though.

Multiply Account.

I miss everything.. But then it's time to really kick in to gear 1 right now and prepare for the upcoming semester!

God of my forever..
Forever I'm with You...

Random morning

I'm over at friend's hostel and was just browsing some pictures.
Interesting huh... That's how I looked like in Sec 2!!? More than half a decade ago. Half a dozen years ago. (Playing with words)

Centre Parting was the hairstyle then!

Boyband pose (Already an IL Divo wannnabe)

What was I thinking?

Heh. We all want the limelight.

More formal, but people are still not that serious.

007? Shoot ar shoot..

Ok lame. My trophy has already collected dust I reckon, back in Singas. Lol. Nobody really cares at the end of the day who won the trophy, except on that day itself?
If it's an NBA trophy, heh. It'd have been different.
Lol. If any of you people are in any of these pictures, feel free to rip it..

Looking Back.....

Was just thinking of the things that used to bother me in 07`. Ha ha. Come to think of it, it's been amazing how I've changed. The 'smallness' that used to plague me is now gone.

Well. I've been looking at Videos about guitar last night and I badly want to improve my guitar so that one day, I can be used by God to play for Him. Learning everything that I can through the net. I'm going to do the same throughout this year since there's not really a teacher there.

Was just sending some songs to Peck this morning and the songs that I once used to like sound nice once again. I was just listening to the songs from this album called Higher. They sound really nice. There's this song "House For The Heavens" that is really nice. While heating my food up, I can't contain my joy and I was just jumping in my kitchen (Heh.. there's no one at home btw). Yeah. The whole Higher album is filled with faith-filled Praise Songs. If you feel down anytime, put in the Higher CD into you player or plug in your iPod and listen to it. It's one of the best remedy! It's not "dumping" our worries, but then it's admist of the worries, we still have control over our emotions.

It's just like the best thing on the face of this earth. Listening to praise songs and also Pastor How's sermon on Spiders! Lol. I'm going to listen to it a few more times. It's such a good sermon that I never get tired of it.

Sam Allardyce of Newcastle United is sacked, or to put it nicer, has parted company with the club. Arsenal drew 1-1 with Tottenham in League Cup Semi-Final with Walcott equalising Jenas' opening. Heh. I sound like a commentator.

I had a weird dream last night. heh. It was me and Wendily going to Malaysia. Then Miaow Guan and Adri came along (Weird combi). It was funny..... I shall spare the details as it's embarassing to some of em....

Reading

I'm settled.. More or less. ha ha.
However, some of the long pants are still in my ultra huge luggage.

I just subscribed to Fortune Magazine (Just a casual remark by Garrett, heh, but I'm going to read it!).
It's for my own good anyway. I'm gonna be an avid reader of such magazines.

I pray that Heng comes back tomorrow healthy! So that I can visit his hostel for the night. Lol. We can chat about lives! I'm not going to think about returning to Singas for at least a few months! I just checked my schedule. If everything goes smoothly, I will graduate in Oct 2009! I will end my examination in late August (Winter!!) and hopefully I can go to Singas for about one month before getting my degree.

Well. I really want to accelerate my course! The earliest I can graduate is in May! (That's provided if I maintain my GPA of 3(Distinction in every subject i.e. 75++) and above + taking 5 subs every semester). I believe all things are possible. Going to enquire about 5 subjects tomorrow!

Looking forward to Second Semester and conquering once again!
Missing my great friends back home. But then, I have education to fulfill though.

God of my forever!

It has been a long journey back here.
I didn't even use the in-flight entertainment on the plane.
Was so bored with Qantas in-flight entertainment.

Instead, I read Harvest Times.
This issue of harvest times talked about marriage, courtship (wooo, interesting huh?) and more than that, 3 of the many successful Christians in CHC and Asia are featured. I was so inspired by each of them. Each of them is different in the things that they do, but the love for God is the same.

I got the Window seat this time round! It is actually the best seat as you can dump all the "unwanted" stuff on your left (if you're on the left side of the window seat) or right. I was flat out after reading a few pages of harvest times. I will miss Pastor Kong's visit in November (Very certain of that!)

My 3 weeks to Singapore have been awesome! I have made a lot more new friends, and got to know many of them better this time round. The meeting with Garrett certainly was inspiring and I needed that. I needed someone to expand my mind. Talking to the senior leaders in office, or simply anywhere was great too. More than being blessed, I hope that I've been a blessing too.

God answers prayers! Even though I have to wait for many many years, God hasn't forgotten about what I've prayed. I just have to wait for Him, and His timing, that's all! I haven't watch a football match for ages! and I mean it. I have been following Man Utd on Soccernet and news from friends (That's all!).

I miss everyone back home! Like the moment I enter the Checkpoint. It has been the most fantabulous time with G Zone! and also, E Zone. some pictures at the top to tell you peeps how I've spent my last 2 days in SG.

I will only start school next week! Going to school is great (Especially when you do pretty well for your exams!). I'm going from strength to strength and not being complacent! I miss the gym sessions with Granador Heng Kingdom! Lol. Basketball sessions and I'm gonna learn swimming this year.

I have conquered one of the two biggest obstacles! That's getting my drivers. Next, it would be getting my swimming done! (Parents warned me time and again not to DRIVE.... I gave them the confidence by leaving my drivers at home.. I have sort of gone against them in many occasions... (not really, but just spending more time in church doing the work.)).

Gonna meet Pastors, Charleston and Ivan at the end of the month at Awakening!

Love

Everything rises and falls on leadership

Yeah. it sums up on what I wanted to say.

Seeing everyone in office working their socks off for the cause of God is heartening.
We may not be earning millions as of now, but the fulfillment each of us has is immeasurable.
Money is not everything, that's for sure. But it is still important. Don't get me wrong.

First class leaders, musicians and spiritual atmosphere.
We're gonna be there!

I'm going back home in 3 days' time. I'm missing every moment spent with people, especially the short convos with Pastors and Garrett.
Inspiration of my life they are. I admire them.
Yeash.

Heh heh. Meeting awesome leader Garrett tomorrow. Tons of questions to ask. Bombardment!

Love the Lord our God with all your heart, all your soul and all your strength!~

Some pictures to sum up my night.
It will be a year of beginnings of leadership.
I believe that many hearts will turn to God in 08. Many will come to know about Him in this coming year. Many backsliders will come back too.
I'm happy to see that fellow comrades are going back to their school even after they have graduated, to reach out to the sec 1s. Jolie and Peck told me about the exploits of the Ex-SJcians. Ha ha. Yeah. It's good to hear about that.

Some years ago, there was this man, who wore a double sided board around his neck (I guess that most of the crowd was one way traffic from his front). On the front of this board, it was written - I'm a fool (In large fonts), for Christ (In smaller fonts). People walked past him and
many began to giggle. After walking past him, most people began to turn behind and looked at what was written behind his board. It stated - Whose fool are you?

Whose fool are you?
Everybody is a fool for something.
A fool for money, career, girls, boys, reputation and every other thing. But I want to be a fool for Christ.
It is the most fulfilling thing ever in life that I've ever had. We can be successful, be reputable - but do you remember the days where you still feel lonely after having all these things? When you are alone in your bedroom, thinking about all the what ifs? Nothing is more fulfilling than living a life that gives more than success. Live a life that gives significance!

The past two weeks that I've spent in the church office has been the most fulfilling. Though it was only the tip of the iceberg, but I have seen how the HoGC staff work. Everyone does their best to serve Pastors and ultimately God to the best of their abilities. They know that Pastors are not God, but if we know how to treat the man of God right, we too will be honoured. That's exactly what I've seen.

E Zone - We certainly have more new faces. I've got to know so much more people from E1-E5.

G Zone - I have certainly known more people in G Zone. People in G1 and G2 (I'm still not 100% sure who's in which CG). The people in these two CGs are almost the same. It's my last few days in HoGC. I will certainly miss the staff office. But I'll be back by August or something. I pray that I can come back for Pastor Kong's seminar.

Have a good one. G1's movie outing at Cineleisure next week.
