8 days @ Melbourne

Backkkkk....

Ha ha. The trip to Melbourne is extremely fascinating. Travelling with Heng is awesome. He is such a fun person to be with. Lol.

Ok ok. I have so much to say but I don't know where to start. It's my first time traveling with someone. Well. Ich bin sehr gut!!

We watched every movie we possibly could (on dvds, of course!).
We went to many places....
As North as Lygon and as south as Brighton Beach.

Picture tells a thousand words I reckon.
Well. Both of us got lost purposely..... To enjoy being lost... lol.
It was really fun though. We walked about 15Kms on one of the days as we embarked our journey from Brighton Beach to Luna Park...

We asked the people along the way how long it would take....
The first person said 45mins. After walking for 15mins, the next person said 40mins.
And we thought we were getting there. We talked the lot along the way, had our lunch beside the sea (We had flat head fish).. We didn't know what was that, but it tasted good nevertheless.

We walked another 1 hr.... And we reached a petrol station. The cashier told us that it will take us another 40 minutes to Luna Park. That's when we know that the previous two passerby tried to "encourage" us to walk. We walked for another 1 hour (Without stopping + walking pretty fast) before reaching Luna Park. We had one of the rides there (The rest aren't challenging enough). It cost AU$7 to go for one ride and AU$35.50 for all the rides (there were only about 4 rides that were average-good)

We also went to Eureka Skydeck two days ago. It is the tallest residential building in the Southern Hemisphere. It's pretty nice I reckon....

The downside to this trip was that .... Man Utd lost to Chelsea and they are only leading by goal difference. But but but.... We are still the favourite as we have to play West Ham at OT and Wigan at JJB..... Yeah.. Hopefully we will win both and clinch the title.

Anyway....... Pictures and Pictures..

Future's gonna be amazing

I was just browsing some HoGC's blog.

Ha ha. They are those blogs that would lift you up when you are feeling down, inspire you to a whole new level when you are feeling good.

Yeah. It's just like there's life inside the blog. The words are so edifying, uplifting and real. Real because it's written out of their own hearts, not just an inspiration thought. That's what blogs should be. Yeah~

Ok..
I'm looking forward to services this week.
3 weeks of vacation before the commencement of my third semester.
Fundamentals of Finance, Quantitative of Finance, Business Law and lastly Cultural and Ethical Values.

My 4 subjects for next semester. I'm looking forward to take one more subject. Stay tune! Yeah. Doing 5 subjects will be good....

3 more days to Melbourne

I'm 3 days away to Melbourne...

Surprisingly, I'm not feeling extremely excited whatsoever. Ha ha. I guess I would be on Monday night or Tuesday morning.
We had a volunteer's meeting last night and it was also Pst Fergus's last night on the Coast. He has already driven back to Sydney or at least on his way to. I've learnt heaps from him, esp. from the Power Intensive.

Today marked the first official day of my holidays. Well, it was a holidays for me since Thursday, but I haven't had a good sleep until last night. It was a night filled with dreams (But I forgot every single of them).

Watched Pride and Prejudice this morning. It was one of the best movies I've ever seen. And I'm finding myself falling in love with Keira Knightley. Lol. It's not about her looks although she is gorgeous. The character she played - Elizabeth Bennet exudes confidence... To me, confidence is one of the most important quality in a girl. Confidence is attractive. She might not be right all the time - like the way she judged Mr. Darcy, but her confidence has made everyone thought that she was right (well, that's the way I interpreted it).

It was a 5/5 movie! I have absolutely no doubt about that! It is a movie worth watching! Watch this movie if you haven't.

I have been doing the mundane - but all important stuff today, housekeeping....
Yeah. Blogging requires a whole lot of discipline too.. I will keep blogging and blogging and blogging.....

Finale... Semester 2 to a closure

A good closure to my examination yesterday... and also to my second semester!!

It was the hardest paper I've ever done in my University life.
I went in to the exam really confident. However, I reckon I will still get a pretty good pass, just that it's not of the highest accolades. Well, I'm glad it's all over.

Went to shop with Felix yesterday and unfortunately, he lost his beloved wallet on his way home.
I accompanied him to do whatever he needed to do (Like card replacement etc...). It was pretty tough for him, but he has two buddies with him to cheer him up and standing side by side with him. I guess he felt much better. As iron sharpens iron....

We played 6 games of All Random (Dota) yesterday. Lol. it was so fun. 7 if we include the handicap match with Lester. The record stands at 3-3. It was kind of fun and I reckon I've improved a little in AR matches. If he uses his best hero (Which is terrorblade), there is very little chance of me winning this game. In the past (Probably one month ago), It would have been something like 1-5 or 0-6.

Gonna bath now....
I'll be having a volunteer's dinner at church tonight.
It will be amazing.
Timing to do some dressing up.. lol.

Just a couple of hours more

Saw that grin on my face?

Yes. Examination is drawing to a close in just a matter of 7 hours.
It truly has been an amazing 2 days for me.
3 papers in the past two days have really sharpened my mind a whole lot.

I think I am pretty confident with every paper that went pass me.
Let's hope that I will end my day on a high with Econometrics.
Yes, it's open book! But then, it doesn't guarantee that it will help that much.

Open book doesn't really help.
The free use of internet does.
If you don't understand anything, just google it!
And that's what I did for my previous exam.
Ha ha. I wonder if anyone is looking. However, it's not cheating or anything, we're allowed to use the computer!

Yes yes.
After my exam, I'm so going to fly down to Pacific Fair with my amazing friend!
Woohhooo.. But wait, I still have one more paper to go.

I was struggling so hard a few days ago to study for Strategic Management.
The thought of it almost made me vomit.
yes, mundane and everything, but my goal kind of drove me to study!
So, regardless of my emotions, it was that inner desire to see myself satisfied at the end of the examination that made me study hard.
I didn't want to go to Melbourne in 5 days' time feeling that I've not given my best.
Some of the theories used could well be useful in futureee......
"Hofstede's theory..... Maslow's Hierachy of needs.... Porter's 5 model strategy.... Herzberg's two factor theory..... Cost differentiation and differentiation..... Total Quality Management...... Customer Relationship Management.... and so on and so forth" Almost forgotten the other 40-50 theories once the exam ended. But it was good. Ha ha.

Anyway... It's 6.48a.m. in the morning and I'm amazed that I woke up 48minutes earlier. Ha ha.
No sleep ins!
Ok. Going to study for Econometrics for 1 hour or so?

Inspired

We just need to take the backseat and listen to the man of God sometimes.

When we know and we know and we know that it is the right thing to do, then do it.
Insecurities and fears paralyse us like nothing else.
I am grateful for inspirational people around me.

It was such a privilege for me to have breakfast with Pastor Fergus and his wife, Judy this morning. I am absolutely glad that although they didn't speak things directly to me, it hit my spirit hard. Sometimes, we just have to take a backseat and let the man do the honours.

I'm glad that I've grown, just within the last few hours of my life. Take it, it's yours!!!

Love

Morning

I just woke up 35minutes ago.
Ha ha. Yes. Accounting.....

It's nice reading it. Period. Ha ha.

Romans 7:19 "For the good that I will to do, I do not do; but the evil I will not to do, that I practice."

Internet is pretty "evil" now for me.

Power intensive

Pastor Fergus has truly inspired us all.....

We had Power Intensive with Fergus McIntyre for the past 3 days.
The past 3 days (including today) have truly been awesome for me.
I have learnt so much on moving in the spirit. More than just learning about it, I'm confident in moving in the realm of it. More than knowing about moving in the spirit, we also had practical sessions where we learnt how to relate to every possible problem that this world could possibly throw at us. Yes. It is definitely an eye opener for me. Learnt a lot!!

Although this course costs quite a bit, I believe that every cent is well spent.
The amount that I have learnt here is eternal.
I'm glad that admist my exams (in 3 days'), I came for this seminar.
God knows.

In the midst of Accounting-ing.

Exams in trey

My first paper is on the 15th of April. Ha ha.
Somehow, I am not really panicking, not that I'm fully prepared as of now. Ha ha.
In Uni, everything comes thick and fast, but passes at the same rate too.

I'm really looking forward to the end of examination, with all the exciting events lining up for meeeee!! I've just got to persevere till the 17th (1.45p.m. EST, come on, just 5days + a couple of hours).

Heng has already had his first paper, in fact, already 2 down for him.
(He is my travelling buddy!!)
Yes yes! Looking forward to travelling to Melbourne with him man.

Ok. Exaggerating.

Power Intensive in church was awesome!

Here comes the Rain - A1

Here comes the rain, no need to hide.

While I was listening to this song, it started pouring. ha ha.
Isn't it prophetic?

I woke up at half past 8 in the morning.
Check my email.
One very precious email poped up in my inbox.
It was from Pastor.
Yes. I really appreciate that.
A reply at 4a.m..... A long email.

It definitely is a good way to start my day, reading such an email.
Bath, chat with Bec for a couple of mins on MSN and off I go to prepare my delicious breakfast.

I haven't cook for a long time. Didn't want to have a casual breakfast.
Cooked Mee goreng and I used last night's leftover vegetable as my side.
I also cooked my specialty - amazing omelette. ha ha.....

I just finished my breakfast and watched one episode of the simpsons, Homer becomes a cop. ha ha. A good way to start a day. But my mind is a little tired after breakfast. I think I had too much. Lol.

Strangely, after the song Here comes the Rain came to an end, the rain really started to stop. Ok. sidetracked.

Manchester United is through to the semi-finals of CL after beating Roma 3-0 on aggregate. The 2nd leg at Old Trafford wasn't a classic, but United (classic united) still got the job done with a 1-0 scoreline, courtesy of a Tevez's header.

Ok. Gonna do washing.... After the mess I've created in the kitchen. Wahahhahhaha.

I miss you guys back home. I won't be going home this Autumn, but be assured that my heart is always with you guys.

Talking about some encounter lately - Ecclesiastes talked about life, how one should lead his life. Wow. Everyone who wants to live a life of success should read this book in the Bible. Every book in the Word is good, but this book speaks volumes about life! If there is a study on this book alone, I would definitely get it! I truly had an amazing time reading it.

Read Ecclesiastes!!!

Amazing

Week 13 has effectively came to an end for me....

I'm going to study for my four papers.
It was hard studying for Econometrics today, but I pulled through! I'm pretty amazed at myself, with the courtesy of my lovely iPod and warm jacket.
Talking about studyinggg. It's actually hard to start, but once you get the momentum, you'll just keep on going. The way you love reading the Word will almost be the same as reading the text. Although the latter is going to be temporal.

I love to read about Accounting. Finally found joy in it. It's still not too late.
Yeah. Coz I'm almost done for 2 subjects, Econometrics and Principle of Economics (75%).

Ok. Got caught by the rain a little, feeling a little tired now.
Dota actually isn't that fun anymore (For now).
Thanks for the lost in interest. Or else, I won't be able to study peacefully......

I've been getting revelations after revelations reading the OTs.
Read Ecclesiastes if you have never read that book before.
It's my second time reading it, but the revelation is fresh everytime I read it.
So fresh.

It teaches us how to lead our lives.
Many things we learn in church originated from this book.
A lot of practical stuff about leading our lives right.
Like friendship, keeping our vows (with God and people), not giving ourselves unrealistic expectations that we'll not be able to fulfill and lastly, wisdom.

8 & 13
End of examination and Melbourne!!!!

Very colddddd

Mr Yee is very cold today!!!!!
ha ha.
17 deg celsius.

Oh come on.
Stop complaining! lol.
I've always been a tropical boy.

The weather hasn't been very kind to me.
I reckon I'm gonna have all my weapons of destruction out now (All my long sleeves)! ha ha.

It's only autumn and I'm almost giving in!
What about winter. Lol.
The wind almost blew me off today.
It was this strong....
Wind + Rain today.
I almost called Jesus up today.
It was that cold.
I reckon He still has more for me to "enjoy". I mean for good...

Madnesssssssssssssssssssssssss.
Ok. If you guys want to experience what I experience, catch a flight to Brisbane, take a train to Robina and give me a call!
lol.
ok.

9 more days to end of Examination.
Yee is looking forward to it.
I love it.
just love it......

Ha ha. The Speed dating that Darnley and his OB team has organised originated from the Simpsonssssss!!!!
lol. that's sehr farnieeeee.

Episode 1720.
soooo funnyyy....

Week 13

Monday of Week 13.....

This semester is drawing to a close real soon!
It has been a really fun semester.
However, to end on a high, I need to do well in my four finals (Yes, four papers in a span of 3 days next week).

After that..... Melbourne awaits.

But wait wait wait..... Before all these, I have a power intensive this week on Thursday, Friday and Saturday at church..... I'll only be going to Uni today and tomorrow coz this is kind of like a study week. Studying at home is much better (Probably apart from Accounting).

I could major in that if given more time......
His dreams, my dreams.

One takeaway from last night's message.
Pst Fergus's offering message.
All of us should expect something from God when we sow (As in our mentality).
Yes. Expectation.

John Mayer's songs are pretty good.
"the time has come to stand for what we believe in"

Funny...

1st April

Today marks the first day of April, but apparently, no one (and I literally mean no one) was playing the april's fool joke. I reckon everyone has kind of grown out of that.

We're right in the heart of Autumn! Ha ha. It's been pretty cold these days but I still love my T-shirt, board shorts and slippers. I'm just freezing a little at times I reckon. It gets dark pretty early. It's only 6.20 now and it's already pitched dark (Scary).

Time really flies. I have already been here for 7 months and it has been an adventurous 7 months for me. I love this life that I'm living although it's pretty stressful this week with numerous tests, projects, presentations and packed lessons. (Even though I included ses, it's only one each, except for lessons).

I had presentation today and i reckon it was ok. ha ha. Wasn't that confident. Ha ha. But I reckon I did tell one good unintentional joke. I was talking about acquisition of companies - "So after they acquired us, they belong to us and we belong to them." That got the whole class erupted into laughter. Yeah. When I came to think of it, it's still pretty funny. lol. But all jokes can only be used once (Duh... That's what creative people are for!)

Another progressive assessment tomorrow. Duh!
Reckon I'm going to read through the slides thoroughly.
Well, after my dinner at least.
