Killed 4 birds

Done with my 2 presentations and my 2 quizzes.

In University, the terms are so much shorter.
I really enjoy every moment rehearsing and discussing my group projects.
Both my groups did well for our presentations.
I thank God for creative friends. These people are just awesome.

On the other hand, this also means that my first term is coming to an end. Today is the last day of Week 12 and Week 14 will be my finals!

Next Week -

Marketing Supplementary Quiz on Tuesday.
Business Maths Practical test on Thursday.

Business Maths Lab Exam is open book! Can you believe it? lol.
Yeah.
I just had a short nap after waking up at 5.30a.m. and I listened to the sermons that were sent to us! I listened to two of the sermons that Pastor How preached. Wow. Listening to sermons, especially those by Pst How is a good start to our day!

17 days!

Hunger

Passion precedes action.
First commandment is to love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your strength. And the second is to love your neighbour as yourselves.

In a nutshell. Love God, love people.

Absence makes the heart grows fonder

I'm really missing a lot of things back home.

Heh.
Well. I really do enjoy life in OZ.
There's this phrase that kept ringing in my mind for a while.
"If something is worth dying for, it's worth waiting for"

5-10years is nothing compared to eternity.
Michael came back home yesterday. The dining table will be filled with 4 people instead of 3 (with an empty seat, of course).

I really love the Simpsons. They really teach us a lot of values in life. I bet I can just watch the 4-5 episodes at one go. I remember Pst Kong talked about Simpsons on the pulpit once. I flow man.

It's week 11 now and exams are drawing nearer and nearer - 1 week to Mktg Quiz, 2 weeks to 2 presentations and 3 weeks to all the major papers. Looking forward to 4 weeks from now.

In a blink of an eye, my birthday is just in less than 2 weeks' time. I'm never a person who loves big celebration. I love to celebrate birthday for others, but strangely, I never really like to celebrate my own birthdays (Provided if $$ are given to me) Heh. Just kidding.

Vad har du gjort hella den har tiden.

Excellent day

I was listening to Pastor's sermon yesterday on leadership.

Although it wasn't his first time preaching on the same topic, but I still got new revelations out of it.
I love listening to his voice and the 'yes' and 'amen' from passionate Singapore.
Missing you guys already.
I can't wait to go back and bless people. I also want to catch up with friends!

I was reading The Spiritual Leader yesterday by Pst Ulf.
It is just mind-blowing.
There area three areas in which leaders have always fallen.
1) Power
2) Money
3) Sex

It's so true. Some may be especially true for one culture and others for another culture.
There was this Indian pastor in the book which told Pst Ulf that over in India, money is the biggest problem, but over in the western world, it's sex. It's just more prevalent. We have to guard our hearts with all diligence, for out of it springs the issues of life. Proverbs 4:23.

Grab a good book and read, folks. It'll change your life.

I had workout with Felix today.
I nearly broke my pinky if not for some divine intervention.
The dumbbell landed on my pinky and luckily, I only got a cut (which was pretty deep).
It's a good day nevertheless.
Went to Pac Fair and bought a nice pair of sports' pants.

I'm going to read a book or something now (:

Love you
Bryan Yee.

Great start to a week

I woke up at 5.30a.m. this morning and the first thing I did was to.. pray.

My day went really well. Everyone was dozing off in the IT lecture (First lecture of the day at 8.ooa.m.), but I was just so attentive, copying down every important thing that was in the lecture. Let's start our day with a short 15 mins prayer. It will be awesome.

I had church on Sunday and we had 2 power packed service in the morning by Shuan and at night by Pst Don. It was just awesome. I love going to church. It's like... I can't wait for the weekends to come. I miss the weekends you know.

This is the commencement of week 10, so it means that in 4 weeks' time, School's gonna be over. Double yeah!

I feel so attached to Aussie and Kinda like it here. Lol. I'm not sure.

Heee. School has just been awesome.
It's great receiving emails from Pastors. Heh.

It has been a great 2007 for me.

Training

It was a great deal of training today.

Cycled to school to have lunch with Felix.
Afterwhich, we did shootarounds, then played 2 games.

Went to gym after that 2 games. Gym was intensed today. Tried most stuff today. After that, I went to play basketball again. Won every game, even though my team wasn't the strongest at times.

I only pull out of the game due to muscle problem - I guess I have overworked today. I was in pain at the beginning of the full court game at first, but decided to carry on. My left leg gave way in one of the possession and I just had to pull out.

Rested 15mins before I cycled home, on gear 4, which is pretty low, as I do gear 6 most of the time. Watched Cold Mountain halfway and I really couldn't take it anymore. I rushed to the bed and SLEEP. Ha ha.

Pretty much all.

The book of Job depicts us, humans! The complaining humans at first, but Job did one amazing stuff at the end of the chapter (which is also the longest time period). He prayed for those 'friends' that had accused him of sinning at first (Something he didn't do). God restored everything back to him, twofold. Admist all circumstances, he is still found in the house of the Lord (Modern day context). That's a great man to follow. I guess that is why he has 42 chapters under his name.

Awesome

It has just been an awesome day.

Went to school in the morning to discuss marketing Project. Within 45 mins, Tom and me had 85% of our Marketing Plan done. We're just so effecient. Yeah? Ha ha. He is a really creative dude. Hats off to you, dude.

We went on to train our basketball. He asked me for advice on how to shoot the ball properly. I was pretty amazed by his humility. This is a guy, standing at 6'6, asking a guy who's 6 inches (15cm) smaller. Ha ha. We had a great shooting session.

After shootout, he fetched me home. Chill out a while before I have a quick nap. Went to church for Ignite. I was following Justin today for sound. He is such an amazing man. I was trying to write down which Auxillary to which speakers, and he just told hold of my notebook and did everything. He even drew out the stage for me! That's just amazing. He is also 19yrs old, he does not just drive a car, he can operate a real airplane. This is cool, ain't it. He's just like a real engineer (Though he is already one).

Had Macs with Michael. Home now. Pretty much a day. Ha ha. I love chatting with Singapore.

Life Skills

I have finally learnt how to take the bus here.

Quite a feat I reckon? Been here for close to 2 and a half months and yesterday was my first try taking the public bus here. it's pretty cheap I reckon, when you have a student pass, of course.

Went to Pacific Fair with my good buddy over here, Felix. Ha ha. He's an awesome mate man. Pure and truthful as a friend. It's kinda hard to get such a friend these days.

Woke up at 2.30a.m. this morning. Ha ha. Probably because I slept at 8p.m. the night before. It's still pretty breezy these days. I enjoy the breeze here thoroughly. It's pretty cold though. There's one night where I left my windows and door open and the cat, Beau, jumped onto my bed. Ha ha. So sweet. I stroked him a few times and he went down my bed. I had a great night that night.

Pretty hard day for me. I had lessons from 10a.m.-6p.m. I didn't waste my break, I did the Maths tutorial and read through the Marketing article! And I was on for panel for Marketing today. I think I did pretty well. Spoke a lot! Yeah. That's a good sign. I really love marketing class as I get to express my views here freely. May it be right or wrong! We had group discussion for Comm Skills and I was kinda quiet. I have so much to learn from the people in Comm Skills, especially those who are in my group for group projects. All of them are older, not just older, they all have experience in the world and I would pretty much like to sit back and hear what they have got to say rather than talk like them. These people present their thoughts and ideas in a different dimension. Ha ha. Not better or certainly not worse, just out of the box? Yeah!

I went to gym yesterday and went to the court to train my 3 pointers. I can consider myself a pretty good shooter now. Ha ha. I make most of my shots, including my 3 pointers. There was also this guy, about 6"10-6"11 (About 2.10m). Who was practising alone. He is not just tall, but he's also good. His wrist while shooting is fixed and he has a nice shooting touch. It's like those NBA players. Yeah. I think he must be the guy who played for NBL, as the lady from sports centre told us that there'sa person in Bond who played for the NBL (Same league as the Singapore Slingers).

Something exciting.... Somebody today told me that I talked like Pst How. ha ha. I'll let this mystery be unrevealed. But that's a great compliment, yeah.. It's someone from SG. Ha ha.?

It's time for? I don't know. Gonna look at my Workplan.

Morning

Not much inspirations lately.

Yeah. Bridgeman downs over the weekend was simply awesome.
It is an awesome church!
We went over to have a youth conference called ONE.
It's truly ONE.
Some pictures later.

The youth over here are as crazy.
The praise and worship was good (If not, how will they be able to produce the album brand new day).
The anointing was in da house.

It's been pretty cold these few days.
Oh yeah. It's already Week 9 of my semester!
Really looking forward to end of semester man.
I have made a couple of pretty good friends here.

Caught up with a few friends over SMS.
I haven't forget your birthday. Miss Annie Ho. Ha ha.

God's presence is as evident here.
I was read the spiritual leader and I have this fascinating statement "without firm spiritual habits, a believer becomes shallow and falls an easy prey to Depression, Despair and eventually Worldliness and Backsliding."

Yeah. 4 steps to turn ourselves away from God, but these four steps are because of our ill-discipline in the first place. =X

Love

- The Last of the Mohicans -

Taking a short 2-3 days break before embarking on a gruelling 4-5 weeks of studies. Well, it's not really that bad actually.

Not really a break. But I've been listening to all the podcasted sermons that I've yet to listen.
A great quote that made me playback a few times before I got hold of every word of it.

Vincent Lombardi - "The quality of a person's life is in direct proportional to their commitment of excellence in life, regardless of their chose field of endeavour"

Pastor Phil was talking about our worship to God. Our worship to God has to be of excellence. So what is excellence? It's not being better than anyone else. Excellence means giving your BEST in whatever we do. It sounds pretty easy, but there's a high price to pay - Time, energy, brainpower, money and many more things....

A person of excellence will be looking forward to receive their progress report/ report book because they know that they have given their best. The results are important, but what's more important is the process of it.

Back to the title of this post.

-The Last of the Mohicans -

We played this movie in Heart of God Church on Valentine's Day more than 2 half years ago, Feb 14 2005. We played two movies that day and I watched one of them - 50 first dates. It was nice! The another was The Last of the Mohican, which I didn't watch it.

Well, I really missed out quite a lot, I guess. I rented the DVD from school on Thursday and decided to give it a shot. Well, this morning I played the DVD and wow! I stay rooted to the computer screen without moving. It was this good! It is a war movie with love element in it (That's why it's chosen to be played on Valentine's Day), dated back to 1757 in the US, where the French and English were fighting for territory in US.

Admist all the violence, there's a love story between Hawkeye and Cora Munro (Daughter of colonel). It's a nice movie and I urged you to watch it if you have the time!

Love
