I do felt like the crippled sheep not too far back from history. I really thought I was like the man. I guess in life it's really not about who we are. It's about having friends who care about us enough to not let us stay the way we are. These people make tough decisions sometimes which do not benefit them at all.

The 4 of them in my life were certainly more than friends.

However, it is those times in the valley when we learn to seek God and be broken all over again.

It's time to really seek God and love Him and His presence.

The last week has been a time of values shaping.

I'll give most to the person I value most.

This is so true. I've prepared the most expensive gift of the year at this time.

I've learnt that for a great friendship, relationship to work out, there needs to be similar values.

That's why when you find your values are closer to that of Pastors, you began to draw nearer to the leaders.

It's just a natural thing.

It's been ages since I last posted...

Well well. Here I am, with my Macbook on a Wednesday afternoon at Quiznos Sub over at ChinaSquare.....

What a dramatic 18 hours turn it has been.

The last 18 hours have been on of the biggest turnaround of my life.

Don't take praises and criticism too seriously..... Because the same person that praises you could be your worst critique someday. Passion goes both ways. I love passionately and I hate passionately.

It's been long since I typed such a post. I reckon things have changed since the last time I posted. I'm taking on more roles in my company now... Like 5 times the workload I used to had.... I dream of a day whereby I can have a workspace like a Coffeehouse.....

Do you have to tweet it..? Knowing that at least a dozen people we know could understand what it means.... I know I've 2-3 followers of my blogpost. Ha ha But well...

Like right now. I've printed all my notes for Property Finc and tax (Open book exam eh!)!
So happy. On top of that, I've a legendary Lecturer.
He's so good!

I guess helping him run a little bit of chore does help.
Not a big one, just handing in some assignment.
He gave us 80% for our 2nd assignment.
Lol. Guess he's pretty happy with our Second Assignment given that most people just passed it.
I just need one mark to pass.... But to get a HD, I need.. 36 marks? Which is like 90%. Ha ha.
For a D, 26 marks will do. The sky is the limit, like they always say.

I finished a couple of books lately (My morning devotion with God). I've a staple diet of cornflakes and strawberries every morning. One of the things that I'm going to miss here are the strawberries!!! The strawberries in the winter season is SICK. It's BIG. You can cut it into 4-5 pieces. Ha ha. Yeah! And I mean it. Every morning - my staple diet is to cut strawberries and put it into my cereal... Add a little milk, grab a good book and I'm good to go for the day.

The book by Chip Ingram - Love, Sex and a lasting relationship is such an awesome book. When I read it, I just felt like wow.. What a mirror God has for all of us!! Read that book and of course apply it in your life.

Okok. Game Theory and Property Finance and Tax tomorrow......

Final Semester Week 13

Oh.

I'm entering into my first paper in.... 4 days' time.
Many people have already done their first paper.
Well, I guess it's good that my paper only starts in week 14.
A bit of time to study for them (:.

Time is flying by me.
This is my last 6 days of my "University life".
Ain't it cool.
I still remember stepping into Brisbane airport on 31st Aug 2007.
That seemed like eons ago.
Problems that plagued me then no longer have an effect on me now.
I have new problems to conquer right now.

First up would be my 4 final papers in the next 6 days.
Then, I will effectively end every battle with "undergraduate" life.
It has been awesome doing my alma mater here as I've shared my sentiments a couple of months ago.

Dropped my last assignment of my undergraduate life into the box (:.
What a FEELING!
Lol. Love it thoroughly.
I have been slacking.... In working out in the gym that is.
Working on assignments after assignments have been gruelling but satisfying because I gave 101% in ALL my assignments this semester. Ha ha. What a feeling!

Read a newspaper article about SDU targeting ITE, Poly and the JCs now. LOL. Those who do not know SDU... Do your own research. Apart from being in church and some organizations, we wouldn't really be taught about the real meaning of romantic love. That is why the world sometimes have a distorted view about love. It's not about those words spoken in that moment. Hollywood focuses a lot about the journey how a guy gets a girl.. But neglect about the commitments after. That's understandable. Because that is what the target market really wants.

Anyway. I'm in Week 12 right now (:
Last couple of lessons for my University life.
Finished 3 yesterday as one was shifted back.

The Work of Calvary.... Blood that Redeems.... Ever Demands my all.

The end of July is coming to an end.
39 days. Wow. Ha ha. That's a big hint.
I have been reading the Sunday Time's today about the Jakarta bomb... H1N1... And everything in general.

Thanks for some of the friends (esp some of my female friends) who provide insights for me in a couple of stuff. You know who you are. Yeh. I kind of believe that Women are from Venus. I shan't elaborate much, else someone start saying that we aren't better - that we come from Mars. But I take that as a compliment. We're a bigger planet. But you people might argue that "we're hotter" and we're from the hottest planet you know.
Yeh. The debate goes on.

Today should be one of my last few times in Kids' Church.
But the kids never fail to light up my day.
I share a little passage from Acts 16 from the Kids' bible.
Amazing little book.
It talked about Paul and Silas being jailed.
I must admit that I never really knew why they were jailed.
After doing a little bit of research... Then I understand.
Sometimes, the children's bible teaches me more things that the big bible. Lol.
Now I know why they were put in jail!!

Had an amazing time playing hide and seek with the kids.
Really love the kids enjoying themselves at kids' Church.
One of the girls even came twice and she was just excitied about kids' Church.
If there's a reason to keep the parents in Church, sometimes it starts from the kids.
Every parent would want to see his/her kids enjoy in life.
So if the kids love it in kids' church, then there's a chance that they would come along too.

Things around me might be happening.
But when I look toward the future, I see nothing but amazing things.
I have a planned trip with FX this coming October.
My beloved friend! I haven't had a chance to really have a talk with him at any point of our lives. This would be a great time of sharing and understanding each other better.

But before that, I am really looking forward to heading home..
With a really clear mind..
That is what I need and have right now (:

The time keeps ticking away....
My tenure at Bond University is drawing to a close very very soon.
I look back at the time spent here.
I really love it!
Laughter, joy and disappointment.. We've all been through!!!

Friends are amazing.
Especially when they share the same woes with you.
I've two very good friends that are going through the same stuff with me lately.
Yeah.. Things that happen simultaneously like this happens once in a lifetime.
And the correlation coefficient of all these incidents are close to 1.

But we're just thrown into the same ditch.
Enjoying each others' companies in that little ditch we're in.
We are just cheering each other on to stay positive regardless of what's going to happen.
Life's too short to moan over the things we can't achieve.
It's so good that each of us gets to encourage one another.
I said to them.... We're just going through this "phase" of our lives.

I was already closed to them.
But this incident which coincidentally (maybe not) happened made us even closer as friends.
I thank God for friends... Someone who'll put a hand on your shoulders.
Someone who love you for the way you are.
Love God, people and life above all else.

Sharon's birthday party has been awesome!!

She hired a hummer (all of us chip in money as well) for all of us.
It's a pink stretched hummer!!
It's my first time sitting inside a hummer with Uni friends and some of her other friends..

After 30 minutes, it felt like the same old thing. Remember the first time you sat on a plane?
There's this 30 minutes of excitement!
But thank God that although we feel this way about things, we can choose not to feel this way about humans.
We love our friends (human) not only for just 30 mins or 1 hr, but for a lifetime.
Of course, it's still a choice!

Anyway....
Tomorrow could signify one of the biggest day of my life!

Had kids church in the morning....

Kids are the most adorable thing on the face of this earth.
That's why Jesus said unless you come to me like a little child, you shall by no means enter the kingdom of God. We didn't do much because of school holidays. I got a few of them to lead us in prayer before 40minutes of dodgeball.

Ha ha, I made cameo appearances to help the losing team once in a while before retreating to my umpire role. I was pretty good. Lol. I got someone out on my every other attempt. It's so good to see that things like team work come out of it. There's this really awesome guy called Joey. He's turning 11 years old in grade 5 (Primary 5 equivalent). He has a real heart for people even at his tender age. When he saw that his opposing team players are not sharing the balls, he'll ask them to share the ball to the amongst themselves, he'll especially ask his sister to share the ball. I knew I had to find an opportunity to praise him for such great love for people at his age. He wasn't shy and replied with a humbled "thank you". True humility is not false humility. If I were him at his age, I probably (Or rather, certainly) wouldn't be able to accept such praises and put on a false humility. He is a gentleman at this age too. often giving the ladies the ball while he stands there and cheer them. (Potential candidate... LOL) All of you reading my blog are too old for him. But you certainly wish that this quality is in your dream guy, don't u?

Apart from that, I believe serving God's prize asset in the church (Sorry Young adults and adults) is a great privilege, God's heart will always be with the younger generation. It's such a joy to serve God's most loved. And a great responsibility lies on the shoulders of teachers like myself to shape the belief system of the kids. I never knew I would be able to lead kids, let alone Caucasian kids who only understand me 90% of the time (There's an improvement.. LOL. It used to be that for every other word, they would have to ask me "what are you saying?") Maybe my accent and perfect sentence structure would be completely destroyed once I go back to Singapore. Speaking in proper sentences is the only great thing out of OZ. I guess. lol.

Serving God because we love God and people. Life is as simple as that.
Things are just this simple, but I used to treat things in a more complicated way, not in a good way that is. Touch the next generation of people by the way we live. We are the role models for the next generation.

Presentation tomorrow. Decisions to make... Things to do.. People to love... God to serve.

My Second Mid-term (International Finance) is tomorrow.
It's actually the subject I believe I got out of the most this semester.
Most of the other Finance subjects have little practical use for an average Jane & Joe, but this subject actually helps the average person to learn and understand how FX, futures, forward and option markets work!

& today is the beginning of my lifestyle fast.
What did I fast on?? I'm not telling ya until I have successfully go through it.

I was so amazed by Pst How's Word on serving God when we're young!

That DNA from the first batch of youths in our church was infectious.
We love God, serve God without complaining..... Ha ha.
Yeah. I do admit that in the initial years in church, I wasn't your M.R. sociable like I probably am now. I was aloof, quiet and unsociable. You wouldn't even believe that that was me a couple of years ago.

Tonight is going to be a really long night.
I planned to only sleep 4-5 hours!
My post exam celebration would be to sleep.
lol.
Well, I need a bit of time to let my food digest ba!

ARH! My presentation next Monday... I haven't started a thing yet.
Apart from gathering some trivial stuff, the project is relatively un-done. Lol. Thank God I have an amazing groupmate! We do work together!!!

Amidst of all uncertainties in life. There's only one certainty...
And that is that my future in God's house is amazing.

It means work. Revival = Work.

The book of Hosea is a book relatively untouched by most people.
It started as a weird book...
Hosea is a prophet who obeyed God's voice to marry a harlot!???
Yeah. I was quite shock as well at first.
But as I began to read on, it began to make sense!
God wanted to show Israel of His relationship with them.
Hosea symbolises God and his wife symbolises Israel.
I shan't spoil it for you guys. Read it, it's one of those very controversial books I believe many people would debate about. But I believe my God is beyond all reasoning. If we can reason about God so wonderfully, then we should be semi-God.

Just had lunch at a pretty good restaurant at Robina Town...
You wouldn't believe it.
The new Robina Town Centre looks so good.
With the new extension... It beats Singapore Powerhouse Shopping Centre like Vivocity hands down. The number of restaurants speak for itself.....

Church was good this morning.
Met a new guy today from Colombia coming over to OZ to learn English.
Ha ha. We talked about football..
He almost played professionally if not for his studies.
LOL. If he does, I hope he'll play for United. Such a good personality that everyone in the dressing room will like.
In terms of skills, I'm not sure. He didn't mention about his skills, but he plays the AMC - where Zidane and Scholes play.

So many things at one go.
I still want a life in between.

Man. I'm taking small breaks in between studying to watch Hakeem Olajuwon.
If I ever get some time to share it with people, I would.
He's not a Christian, but he possessed every quality that all sane humans should have.
I bet a lot of people have not heard of him yet.
But in terms of Basketball skills, he's up there.
That's why there are a lot of underrated players....

Jordan and Johnson shine in their prime because they're well marketed.
But not players like Hakeem.
In terms of Centre position, I would say he's certainly the best.
No.1 Centre of all time....
better than O'Neal, Ewing, Abdul Jabber and I could say on par with Wilt Chamberlain.
I saw him play against the first 3 and he dominated them.
He beat a young O'Neal, Ewing and totally crushed regular season MVP D.Robinson in the NBA Finals.
I guess if EPL doesn't start sooner, I would be rooted to the basketball game... All day if I had a chance to. lol.

But let me tell you what did I do today..
Went to the gym in the morning.
And had a chilly day working out.

Then, head to church at night for Rise and Build.
I have not been to building fund services in HoGC for 2 years already.
However, I still have an opportunity to give to God in this amazing place!!!
Love the vision that c3 churches have.

I will almost be supportive of great men's vision.

It was NBA 2009's draft as well!
And the first pick this year went to the L.A. Clippers - Blake Griffin.
He plays well.
If you haven't watch him yet, GO!
The impact that he's going to make depends on himself.
But I believe if he continues his performance from his freshman year, he'll be the next LeBron James...

Well, he can't be Kobe nor Jordan because they are not the first in their draft picks.
Jordan was the 3rd pick in 1984, behind Hall of Famer Hakeen Olajuwan (He is someone I really admired... Although I have never really watch him play, Youtube videos helped me roll back the years...) and Sam Bowie (His career didn't go down that well). Kobe Bryant's the 13th pick in 1996 draft (Straight out of high school, 17 years old, mini fro, althletic and great hunger and desire like Jordan which just can't be taught. 1996 NBA draft was one of the best as well. Allen Iverson was the first pick - He helped Philly get to NBA finals a couple of times. Then there's Steve Nash, Jermaine O'Neal, Ray Allen and several others). No matter how people always say Kobe is better or Jordan is better - They are my all time favourites. Kobe Bryant makes you feel like a fool and players more than half a decade younger can't really catch him when he's on the drive. That's how good he is. Jordan dominates.

When marking our paper. He wasn't on campus when we did our papers and the questions were filled with mistakes. But he is not interested in the questions. But the way we think and how we approach the questions.

I want to do well for this subject man!
LOL. I'll let someone top it. I shall get what I want (:.

By the way. It's already week 6/14.
8 more weeks to go.
And that means I'm one step closer to home.
Somehow a part of me will miss this place heaps - which I can't deny no matter how u think I should react.
Maybe it's just a "phase" in life as they called. But not everyone gets this chance to do their alma mater elsewhere apart from their own country.

It is flexible.

Lol. This is going to be a hell of a week for me.
With two assignments due together (Do you know how much the stakes are?).
Yeah. 5% and 6% are not marks you want to give away easily mate!

Trust me...
After Tuesday at 8p.m. next week.
I'd be a little more relaxed!
Wednesday on the following week calls for a party time.
But right now, Uni is at hand.

In between the exams and assignments, I've had one presentation sandwiched in between.
I plead to my tutor for an extension of two weeks. And he actually consented to my suggestion.
Ha ha. It certainly made me a happier man with one less agenda on the back of my head.

God is good.... All the time.
Anyway. I hope Lakers get to resign Ariza. Odom can go. Somehow I don't miss Odom that much. I'd prefer them getting Howard to replace Bynum. Lol. Nah. I'm faithful to my team!
I believed Bynum will come up big at a certain point in time next season. He was below average this playoff due to him not being 100%.

As for Manchester United..... Get Ribery, Valencia or any world class player to leave the void ( minus the ego) filled by C.Ronaldo. Messi looks good. But too good to be true.

Economics Stuffffff

Australia dollar has been on the bull run since December.
It has surged to as high as 1A$ to 1.18SGD.
It closes at around 1.155 today!

I'm currently doing an International Finance module. Today's tutorial class proved to be one of the most confusing topic on FX (It sounds REALLY easy, not beware, it's not). The subject is not helped by our even more confused Lecturer.
Lol. He's cool, just that the pressures from teaching students like us in a cold morning unsettled him a little.

Terminator Salvation was a good movie. Catch it if you can!
However, I rate State of Play higher.....
That's more because of its script than its action (Terminator would own State of Play in terms of action scenes).

He must be having a hell lot of fun today (He has always loved what he is doing).

Anyway, I caught State of Play in the new cinema at Robina today!
The G-Max theatre was sick!
LOL. Extra-Comfy chairs with 25m wide-screen.
The chairs were made of leather and the seats were extremely wide.
It was a nice theatre. the best movie theatre I have seen till date!
Maybe I haven't visited much yet, but this one certainly ranks up there with the "Jones" theatre.

State of Play is a great movie.
So many twist to the story.
That is what make this movie great!
Some much tutes and readings this semester!

But it's all good.
Knowledge is power and I'm having a hell lot of a time gathering stuff!!!!!
I am starting to miss this place already.

Halfway through the year

Half the year has just gone by!!
What a year it has been for myself.

The highlight of the year would have been late March, when Pastors, Jon, Dom and Rinnah visited me (:.
Apart from that, I am extremely happy that I have met a couple, actually more than just a couple of good friends here.

God has been a gracious God!
Ha ha. Church was good.
The Novembers and the Decembers are really good.
If one is not on-fire at that period of time, then you must have connected to the wrong wire.
However, there's also the May, June and July. Months where there's not much hype in themselves!
This is when our faith is tested.
Do you give yourself an excuse to miss a couple of service or two just because the hype isn't really there.
However, there isn't an ordinary weekend in HoGC.
That's why our attendance isn't ordianry.
Extraordinary Weekends are the "ordinary" in our church.

Ha ha. Yeah... Kicking into ma work...
My Game Theory Lecturer and Tutor (Also my first year Principles' Tutor) is a great person.
Mind you, he hailed from the amazingly small Island called Mauritius. Came to Singapore as a scholar and scored every As he could in the A'level System (Including GP which he got an A1 - He adds that GP was the hardest amongst all). He is now a Doctor at the age of 28. He actually had that title a couple of years ago. Hanging around big people makes you feel that being ordinary is unacceptable. Anything less than Extraordinary effort is mediocrity.

I know at the end of the day it's not about how much we earn, nor how many titles we have in our resume portfolio. However, since we're at it, why not get the best out of what we have rather than aiming for a "pass" in whatever we do.

Consistency...

People live according to hype.... Naturally.
When everyone is doing a certain thing, people will naturally gravitate towards that.
When this certain thing (May it be anything) dies down, people generally die down with that trend.
Life isn't about hype. It's about being consistent.

It's an easy word with just 3 syllabus.
But people take a lifetime to achieve that.
Being consistent in whatever we do.... Even when we don't feel like it.
Just like this semester, I've paved the way for the semester by doing ALL my readings.
And I intend to do it for the next 12 weeks.
Intention is not good enough.
Real actions have to follow through.
I have to remind myself constantly of the highest goal.
Why do I do what I do? Many Qns.
When we do our readings (Uni levels), we find that we can participate more freely in class.
It makes us much more confident to voice our opinion (Even though it might not totally mattered). But at least we gave our best.

Ha ha. Living is the key to an excellent life.
But living our lives just based on our own strengths can lead us to our own demise.
We have to constantly procure the presence of God..
Deep into His amazing presence.
Strong prayers for things we want to see change.
There are many times (Even 5 minutes ago myself) that we can't foresee something happening.
But we pray with foresight, knowing that whatever we pray for will come to pass.

Amazing Thursday.

Ha ha. It's 1.24a.m. in the morning.

I have opened my book in front of me.
But I have not read a single thing.
Week 1 Final Semester is a forgettable week!
LOL. Night life everyday.
2 weeks of night lives have changed my sleeping habit considerably.
I don't mind sleeping at 2a.m. everyday...
That would help me to catch my Singapore mates easier.
However....... This would mean that I would wake up later. Which I don't really mind.
10a.m.-12p.m. and the 5-8p.m. class.
5 hours of hiatus.
LOL.
What a day I am going to have!

Pastor Don preached a message on discipleship today!
It was lovely to see all the tweets and FB messages about Red Rain!
I myself was saved in Red Rain 7 years ago.
I've spent 1/3 of my life in Heart of God Church as of 2009.
I have about 1/2 if you considered other churches as well.
But I wouldn't say I know a lot about the One who builds it.
What is 1% of God?
Maybe a room full of books can't even contain that.
He measures the Earth with the span of his hand. That's His majesty.

Ok. 13 more weeks to GO! - Wanting it to be longer actually.... Deep down. haha.

Man. 3 Weeks have passed by in a blink of an eye.
It certainly has.
I'm well rested.
Well, I have 14 more weeks to run.
I'm telling myself to get pumped!

Spent my 3 weeks researching books and stuff.
Sometimes, it's not about how fast we read books...
Revelations and insights come from reading books for myself, including secular books.

My friends are slowly flying back to the place where they belong.
Felix going to study one more semester with us!

Byron Bay

The Most Easterly Point of Australia - Byron Bay....
Ha ha. Although I'm not a big fan of beaches in a hot day, Byron was alright.

I went Byron with two of my Bond Uni Mates, Danielle and Erica. It was certainly a warm day even though we are pretty close to winter. (Winter starts in June).
I thought it was going to be cold - Hence I wore long black pants. Ha ha. I sweat like I've never done before in Australia afterwards.

I think this should be my last long trip anywhere before Uni starts next week.
I just went on ilearn to look at my courses for next semester, only the course - Game Theory is up. I guess I would like that subject as it deals with logic and reasoning.
Steve Jobs didn't like his subjects University until he had one of his electives that dealt with fonts that really interest him. That was how Apple was developed, and the rest they say, is history. I hope Game Theory would do that same magic too, as it is one of my electives.

There has never been a book that made me felt like I'm going to change my world apart from this book till date - The Militant Church by Lester Sumrall.

I found this book in the cupboard of the kids' Church. There's this cupboard with a lot of old Christian books dated way back to the 80s. I decided to take a peek at this book which caught my eyes 2 weeks ago. It was so interesting that I immediately read 30+ pages in a short time. But it's not about how fast I read. Such a book can't be read like any other novel. You have to stop and pause while reading it. As for me, I shouted, prayed and just praised the Lord while reading this book. It injected more than just faith and hope into me. It certainly changed the way I pray.

We only have one life.
Let's really make use of this life to not just try out things...
Let's make this life count.
(:. I'm really pumped now.
Well, if you don't know why yet, read the book.
Ha ha. You will feel more than a giant.
You will shout things like "NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE", "I'm gonna take this MOUNTAIN"
Nike and Adidas are two great labels with great slogans
Just Do It & Impossible is Nothing.

They might not have the best apparels nor footwear (Someone in that line told me that), but their slogans are very faith-filled and certainly very Christian.

Faith does leak, and I'm not naive to discount this fact. However, just like a leaked water tap, we can get a plumber to solve the problem. Similarly for the supernatural, we can immerse ourselves in faith by reading the Word, prayer... Anything that works. Pipsqueak prayers are not for us. We are to stand up and fight with belligerence, instead of retreating to our minuscule and egotistical world.

What can you say about a Sunday when I'm on for Kids' Church - Simply amazing....
Love being with the kids, assuring them, bringing them one step closer to Jesus.

Since I've been in kids' church, we've been preaching 8-10mins about Jesus to the kids.
Well, I thought we might do something different.
We got to tell a story today!
I told the story of Mary and Elizabeth.
I myself wasn't 100% sure of the story before I prepared this amazing story.

I got all the kids to engage with me.
It worked really well and the kids like this "story telling" thing much more than what we used to do. After this, the kids really got something out of the bible.
They at least get to know Joseph is Mary's husband. Elizabeth was Zechariah's wife.
Yeah. Really cool eh!

Breaking out of the box is certainly vital to capturing the attention of kids today!

The previous posts have been pretty intense.
Pictures. Lotsa things happening.

Went to look for Felix and Darnley yesterday and let them talk about their trip while I talk about my little trip to the Zoo and Brisbane.

They seem to have heaps of fun at Sydney and Auckland eh!
Lol. They spent heaps there - for an experience.
While for me, I spent on the tangibles.
And certainly not as much.

This morning, I got to catch up with Ben Pohlmann.
It has been ages since I caught up with him over a meal.
7-8 months probably?
After breakfast, I went to Church with him to set up the stage.
Yeah. It was good.
Lol.
I finally knew each parts of the drums.
Snare, Tom, Floor Tomb, Hi-Hats, Kick Drum and the cymbals.
I know. I thought I was at least an OK musician. LOL. But I knew nuts about the drums.
It's time to learn to play something.

Came back, watched the Second Half of Lakers vs Rockets.
And Yes! Lakers won away from home, by a fair bit.
I foresee that the Lakers is going to win this series!
Yep. That's the only thing I foresee coming.

Kobe is just unbelievable.
He hit a buzzer beater way beyond the 3 point line in the Second Quarter to take a 12 point lead in the 3rd quarter.
That really deflated the confidence of the Rockets and of course when the Lakers are leading by a dozen at third, they don't lose much (no matter where they are).

Zoo and returning friends!

The trip to Australia Zoo yesterday was simply incredible.
I've experience things I've never experienced before.
Feeding the Elephants and Kangeroos.
Get up close and personal with Koalas!

I went to the Australia Zoo with my Bond Uni and travelling buddies Christy and Danielle.
Oh if we put our names together, it flows ehhh - BCD. Super funny
The Zoo is located an hour North of Brisbane. Gold Coast is about an hour South of Brisbane.
You do not have to be a rocket scientist to know that I take more than 2 hours (Traffic Jams!!) to arrive at the zoo.

We watched a documentary about Steve Irwin before we reached the Zoo.
He started this Zoo together with his dad!
Passion + Action -> Amazing things.
Many people would enjoy this Zoo! I'm very sure.
But how many people actually think beyond that?
This Zoo is built because of Steve's passion for wildlife.
Many of the Zoo Keepers we met have worked with Steve and they only have positive words to say about him.
A lot of the Zoo's programmes were as a result of his and his dad's passion for wildlife.
He's just an ordinary man with an extraordinary passion for what he loves.
Man. What a role model to have!

I'm not going to talk about "my day" at the Zoo and write a 3000 word story on it.
I've taken some pictures and since pictures tell more than what I say, I'll let you imagination run wild with those pictures. Most of them are on FB.. But I'll put some here for you guys to enjoy!

Clean up all the mess in my room today!
Preparing for a brand new semester!

So looking forward to my final semester all of a sudden.
I've been just looking at course outlines of all my subjects.
And they are all awesome.

This is a picture of a card sent to me during valentines.

The one thing that I believe everyone living overseas loves to receive is to open up the mail box and get a mail that is mailed to us.
It can be a hand written card to any thing...

Went to the gym alone today.
It was a stretch of faith because flesh is always saying no when the spirit says or rather SHOUTs YES. I put on my shoes, open the gate and went out nonetheless.

Entering into May....
Wow, hasn't time blew us by?

It certainly has.
I'm reaching my "maturity" age in about 7months' time.
Many of you are already there, I know, I still have to get there though.

Many things have been happening.
Some are not to be told, most can be told.
Pst Lucas from Hobart just came up to give a business seminar on Saturday.
It was great. Pastor Don was just like me, a participant in this seminar.
It was weird having Pst Don beside me attending a similar seminar though.

It was a really good seminar.
I wrote about 10 pages of information down.
Haven't really looked at it yet, but I will do it real soon.

Pst Lucas had 3 amazing services with the church yesterday and I went for all 3 of them.
I guess this should be my 2 or 3rd time attending all services apart from when Pst How and Lia were here.
It was certainly good. Pst Lucas blew our mind in the service by moving really strongly in the Holy Spirit. There wasn't much teachings, but a lot of spiritual work is going through.
People were saved... It was a great scene to see more than one person being saved each service.

Today - 4th May - is labour day in Australia.
I'm heading over to Josh and Kate's tonight and they're going to cook me dinner.
Woohoo. Ha ha.
Excited about that.

All my Malaysian friends have either gone home, or to Sydney now.
Lol. And I'm here on the Coast all alone. But I'm lucky to have friends beyond the Malaysians.

I've been on the Coast for 20 months and I haven't really been to Brisbane before (Apart from the airport and karaoke).
Yesterday was my first time touring in the city of Brisbane.
Danielle and Christy were my tour guide.
I promise to have pictures this time ok!
Ok. The pictures are pretty impromptu though.

I realised that I do not have to go anywhere after all.
The City of Brisbane itself looks fabulous.
Danielle came and picked me up in the morning.
Christy was already waiting for us at the train station already.
I have to tell you about this thing today - Public transport had PERFECT TIMING wherever we go.
God is working all the time.
We didn't even have the chance to wait for public transport.
Wherever we go, the bus and trains arrive at the time we're there.
Isn't it amazing!!?

Brisbane trip started pretty well when a Nestea truck stopped halfway and handed out free Ice Lemon and Peach tea. Lol. I got myself an Ice Peach while the girls got the lemon and lime ones.
We then headed to Queenstreet Mall to have lunch.
The Unadon over there was alright, not the best though.

Next, we shopped within the complex.
I certainly couldn't find much things that were suitable for me.
The girls walked their way while I walk mine.
We met at about 1hour later.
The shop that stood out was G-Star. They had a discount that day but the jeans I was looking at was out of stock (Arh, good things never last).

Next, we went to Myer Centre.
On the way to Myer Centre, we saw this guess shop and I told the girls (WOW! 30% discount).
True to it, every item for the male species were either on a 30% discount or it costs AuD$70 to purchase. Not true for the ladies.

A top immediately caught my eyes. It is a baby-blue top with a plain design at the front (UK flag is the prints on the chest). Then, I proceed on to look at its back. It's certainly unreal. The prints at the back were well designed. I stop hesistating and took a small and a medium to try on. The store-keeper then told me that all the jeans were on 30% discount. A skinny black caught my eyes. I have been wanting to get a skinny black for the longest time. The guess skinny black was unreal! Together with my first top, they fit perfectly. With my shoes, I thought they were inseparable. Lol.

Needless to say, I bought this top and the skinny black. And this proved to be the only thing I would buy for the day. Went to a few other places and nah, nothing was as good! We went to the Museum and learnt more about turtles! We sat for about 30minutes on the sofa of the museum just watching some turtle documentary. We learnt the lots though (:.

Ally (Christy's friend) came along after our museum trip. She is currently studying at QUT. It was all good as we spent our time with Ally walking through the parks and artificial beach. Their artificial beach is really artificial - Just sand and a small swimming pool. I was thinking of Sentosa when they told me about artificial swimming pool. I guess we all could have such an "artificial beach" at our porch if we do own a house.

We walked for more than 2 hours and Ally had to leave for a dancing class. The three of us went to one of Sunnybank's Chinese restaurant where we educated Danielle about Chinese food. I saw BAH KUT TEH and I told the girls that this is the best Malaysian stuff you've got to try. Their BKT was alright, not the best though. But still reminds me of Malaysia. I had 2 portions and after that, we walked for another 25 minutes before we reached Altandi train station. Our train arrived when we reach there.

Yeah! Brisbane trip was really good.
God is there all the time, even when you are just having holidays and enjoying yourself.
In one of the bus trips, I just plugged in to my iPod and heard the sermons that Ps Joakim preached about 10 martyrs for Christ. It was so inspiring!

People! let's not give away our destiny for the tangible. Materials and wants are necessity, but they should not be all that we lived for. Let's live for something greater & higher.

I had a really great day today!

Went to Southport today for a haircut with my good friend Koshi (He's leaving for Japan tomorrow...... :( )
And after which, we headed to a Japanese restaurant nearby to have lunch. It's a pretty cool place that serves good food! Psts would love it!

After that, we headed to Robina to do shopping!!!
You got to know my friend Koshi because he is a person who has never bought a pair of jeans before (he wears a pretty expensive watch - Rolex). Brought him around and we walked the newly revamped Robina for a few rounds before he decided to get a pair of jeans (His first ever), a pair of Nike running shoes and a shirt.

While I got 2 tops and a scarf at Roger David. I haven't bought myself any top since the trip to Malaysia in December. It looks really cool I reckon!

Headed to Baskin Robbins for some amazing Ice Cream before I bade farewell to Koshi! He's leaving to Japan tomorrow morning!!

Had a good rest after I had a shower. After dinner, Talked to Jia Yang on Skype for 3 hours (We haven't talk for the longest time). Caught up with him and we TALK the lot. Love the company we share. Talk about a lot of things. All the Cs in the World - Church and Crush. Lol. He wouldn't mind me putting this!

Property Investment!~

This is certainly the ONLY paper I finished before the actual time required!
I finished this subject like 40 minutes earlier?
It was just awesome.

Everything that I just look through (There certainly wasn't much to study) came out.
It was awesome!
Love how things went though!

I went out of the exam hall feeling this good this first time.
Saw another friend of mine who just finished her paper.
She finished her last exam for the Undergraduate life.
Man. Lol. Which means she's graduating!
I long for that day when I finished my last Uni Exam.
It'll be so cool hey!
I will shout.... "YEAHHH"
Ok lame.

After chatting, headed straight to Felix's to wait for Kevin as we're heading towards Hannah's birthday party. Felix has his own birthday party as well. Actually, today's his birthday!
Hannah's was a couple of days ago.

Kevin drove me back home to change and we headed to Han's place after that. She lived in a pretty cool apartment! Arh.. Too bad my camera wasn't charged properly. There's just this thing about my camera battery! I've been charging it for hours and the battery life actually shortened instead of otherwise! Anyway, we captured some pretty cool pictures using Han's camera, hopefully she uploads soon so I can RIP it.

Me and Kevin were the only Asians amidst a multicultural crowd. But we fit ourselves right in to the party just like any of them. Met Danielle (My study partner who has never failed to be in the VC's list) and got introduced to all her friends. I introduced myself to other people too. Just being friendly you know. Like my Portfolio teacher said that in such a setting, we've just got to be confident and be friendly. lol.

Time certainly passed by fast when we have great companies (:. So many people we've met through this party man! I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Since Kevin had too much of a drink, I drove back to Felix's party instead.

Felix's party was one of Loud music and randomness. lol. Which has its flavour. Chatted and knew a couple of new friends too. In just one day, I'm being introduced to countless people. And Yeah. Of course maybe none of them will eventually be my real friends, but it's really good to know people of different cultures and stuff like that.

Ok. After Felix's party - then what? Needless to say.... DOTA! Ha ha. Ok, Dota players - read on. Non-Dota players, it's time to leave.. Lol. Jk. Maybe this can ignite that fire in you to play. Played 3 5v5 games.

First game -Luna Moonfang.
By far my favourite and best hero.
Dominated early game, mid game. But got aimed at as people know that I was a threat (eehhh) lol. But Seriously, I was the main carrier in my team. I had Treant Protector, Necrolyte, Visage and Bane Elemental as my team-mate. Visage is the second carry while I carried the team. We raxed mid pretty quickly and they countered it later on by raxing mid as well. I had my core items In BKB, Butterfly, Treads Helm wraith bands. But their troll has similar items too. And if you know, troll owns late game! They went on to rax top as well (That was our strategy). While 2 of us were defending back home (We knew that we would die), the rest of the team went straight into the mid lane and killed their tree. Lol. We won, but it wasn't that we had the superior score, just a superior strategy. lol.

Second game - Pugna.
Just wanted to play support.
Our SF had an early game double kill. But he wasn't good with SF and the game just went down, down and down after ward. My team was Pugna (Myself), Axe, SF, Naix and Travex. Clearly, I was the nuker. But the nether warding was pretty important in our defence (Never underestimate the nether warding of Pugna). SF fed after it's initial double kill and finished 3-11 or something like that. When one of our carries has this stats, you know what would happen. SF fed Slardar and it was so fed that Slardar could kill even with the tower hitting it constantly. Axe was laning with SF and fed as well after their laning heroes got fed much. The game wasn't one sided all along. We countered some of their ganks pretty well. I only had a hex that game, wasn't my best day with Pugna. Birthday Boy Felix used his favourite hero - Terrorblade, and owned us. Skadi and Butterfly. Fast farming! However, a couple of bad plays by him prevented his team from winning the game earlier. My team lost game 2.

Third game - Keeper of the Light
My role was pure support.
My other teammates were Alchemist, Zeus, Meepo and Lanaya (Templar Assassin). After playing and understood how it is played in ai for a couple of games, I wanted to take the challenge. Laned with Alchemist and pumping its mana pool so that Alch could stun and all. Alch was farmed just by using acid to creep (with extra bounty as well). My aim was to support mana, use mana leak on our opposing Medusa. We won this game comfortably as Meepo took centre stage. Meepo almost had its full items when we raxed their mid and top. Meepo Level 24 while the rest of the opposing team were at 16-18s. We dominated that game. The only light in the opposing team was the Naga Siren had an Unstoppable Streak (Eventually got killed anyway). My game as a team support is to basically assist my other teammates. While in my Spirit Form, . So in team battles my job is to mana leak one (Medusa most of the time), hex one, recall one of my team mates, use binding so the our enemies miss on their attack and pump the mana pool of Zeus or Alch. We won this game, but not that one-sided though.

Score 2-1.

It was an In House game IH dota and not just some pick up games. All three games went beyond 55 minutes with the first game closed to 70.

I guess when life becomes more than just football, even Man Utd losing doesn't have much of an effect on me.

I only watched the game last night against Everton in the second period of the extra time.
It wasn't a classic at all.
Man Utd fielded a young team with an average age of 22.
Ha ha. Can't believe it, but still, Ferguson did it.
I thought Man Utd was going to win it when Cahill missed the penalty.
But 2 penalty saves by Howard turned the tide and Man Utd went on to lose the SF.

Well, it's just soccer to me now.
I got one thing out of Ps Don's sermon yesterday.
Do not be indolent!
Be on the cutting edge.
Don't be slothful.

Went to Robina Town Centre today (Finally)
It is really very very nice.
The renovated RTC can be compared to Vivocity and even beat it by a little.
RTC was not really a place I would like to go in the past, but not anymore after witnessing the great interior of the building!

They have a 2-storey Borders bookshop - That's insane.. This beats the one at Wheelock anytime! On top of that, there's also Gloria Jeans in it.
And Gloria Jeans is someone's favourite coffee shop. Ha ha. Tag here if I'm refering to you. lol.

Felt relieved after I-trade (Worth 50%!!)
I can't wait to catch up with Josh, Ben and the rest of the people after my exams!
Man. This semester has taken a toll on my social life (Heaps).
But I'm glad it's coming to a close.
But it's no use if I didn't end it on a high.

I can say that this is my only exam.

It's Easter Sunday and I'm on for Kid's church!

I had a short message prepared for them and after that, we had something lined up for the kids!
That is Easter Egg hunt.

It was such a joy to see the kids enjoying themselves finding those chocolate eggs!
Arh. They're all so adorable.
Happy days are here to stay!
Ha ha. I love being with kids. It's no longer just a "ministry" anymore.
I guess when we put the vision of the church (No matter which church you're in) first, we will find ourselves loving whatever we do.

Oh yeah. Pastor Don talked about our church again.
Well, the dialogue below may not be the exact words, but you get the idea.
Pastor Don saw Charleston gelling his hair in the men's and he asked him "so are you trying to impress some girl"?
Charleston said yes and went on to talk about the mystery lady.
Daniel came along and said "He's talking about my sister".
Lol. The crowd burst out laughing as Ps Don said that.

Easter Service and proj

I had my Corporate Finance group project meeting yesterday afternoon.
We've been at it for 10 long weeks!
4 of us, 4 different nationality (None of us are Australians!), one goal - To finish our project.
One Mexican, American, French and a Malaysian (That's me!).
However, I usually introduced myself as a Singaporean.

Anyway, project was great.
MK (The American) is going to go home tomorrow as she has finished all her stuff (She's a study abroad student). She knows Finance the BEST amongst all of us. I learnt so much from her. I have absolutely no idea what's SEC filings a couple of weeks ago. SEC filings - huh? She just taught me everything.

Towards the end of the project, we relaxed and did some funny stuff - Go on google to check out the hot celebrities. Lol. All the top names were out. It started when I said that my Mexican resembles Cristiano Ronaldo. And after that, instead of discussing Finance, that's what we did. We're all 21 years old anyway.

Moving on to evening!
Easter service was great!
Pastor Don n Adrienne just came back from their holidays.

It was great that they talked about Heart of God Church and their experience there.
"So Pastor How announced the four couples that were already going out" was what he said. lol.
Ps Don added a tinge of cheekiness into that sentence.

The service was great.
Ps Don's preaching was really fresh and gave us a whole lot of insights too.

Alright. Not gonna say much.. Going to church for some clean up soon. My day is still young!

Woke up just quarter to 6....
Checked some results.
And... Man Utd woN!.
I thought they had it easy, but no, they had to had an injury time winner from an 18 year old (Maybe 17 if he hasn't pass his birthday yet).

Everton (My Second fav EPL team) - Which doesn't really mean anything when they face Man Utd, won 4-0 comfortably. I hope they overtake Villa to go fifth, but if they don't, they'll still be in Europe nonetheless.

Corporate Finance LAST exam later on.
Yeah.... Some of the questions I've gone through are just killers.
Took me a while to figure out a lot of stuff.....
Anyway, After today!!! No more Corp classes....(Although there's still a project due next Wed)

YES. Received a text from FX straight after service telling me that we have four official couples in church now.
Two of them concerned my leaders
While one is pretty obvious, the other isn't.
I'm extremely happy for Garrett.
When I first learnt of what happened, I kind of just laugh, smile and filled with heaps of excitement in my heart for about 15minutes. I did absolutely nothing but thought of the times I spent with Garrett and at the same time feeling shocked (Very indeed). lol. My leader is no longer single. Please do not laugh if you ever read this. Sometimes you just feel SO happy for someone that you can't stop laughing. Hah. This is one of those days. But I bet Garrett and the rest of the 7 people would be 7 times happier than I do.

I gave him a text and he replied. Well, the latter is something he would definitely do.
Lol. Pretty rhetoric hey.
Well.. I still have some time to go before "imitating" him.
Maybe long, maybe not, but I leave it to God.
Some things in life you follow suit immediately, but certainly not in everything (This is an example).
There's a time and season for everything.

Hundreds of years before Samuel anointed Saul as the first king of Israel, these provisions were made concerning the king’s character.

First of all, a king should not be given to the lust of power. Leaders who are inwardly insecure are always clamoring for power, prominence and position. Jesus says that leadership is not lordship, but servanthood: “And whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted” (Matt. 23:12). Decide to be a servant-leader today.

Secondly, a king must not have a weakness for the opposite sex. Biblical leaders like Samson, David and Solomon all fell in this area. Next to the Lord, the most important relationship you would ever have is the one with your spouse. Communication is the key to life. Put aside quality time each day to share your thoughts, feelings, desires and visions with each other. Have consistent, healthy sexual relations in your marriage. “Do not deprive one another except with consent for a time, that you may give yourselves to fasting and prayer; and come together again so that Satan does not tempt you because of your lack of self-control” (1 Cor. 7:5). In other words, sex is effective spiritual warfare against the temptation for adultery. What do you do when you have lost the “first love” for your spouse? Jesus says, “Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent and do the first works” (Rev. 2:5). That means that you need to go back to the beginning activities of your relationship. Start courting each other again. Keep the romance in your marriage strong.

Finally, a king must never have a soft spot for money. Paul says, “I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Phil. 4:12-13). While you are to desire the multiplication of your fi nances, learn to live within your means. Work out a plan to get out of debt as soon as you can. Be a tither and a generous giver in the church. Giving is always effective in dealing with the lust for money. A king should be a person of the Word, and a person of humility and accountability. These same character qualities are needed for all godly leaders in our time.

Let's not make them insignificant.
Both are 15%. So they are pretty heavy.

Villanova vs Pittsburg

I've never watched NCAA basketball before.
But the match between Villanova and Pittsburg was a classic!!

72-76 - 35 seconds to go.
Vlilanova was leading by 4.
They allowed Pittsburg centre no. 45 to score with 4 guys on defence. (They were sleeping probably).
74-76.
Then with about 20+ seconds to go, Villanova threw a full court inbound pass to one of their players. But it was a bad pass and all he could do was to pass to a Pittsburg player.
He quickly dished out to his teammates and this guy was fouled before he attempted a shot.
As both teams were over the team foul limits (In NCAA, you go to the FT line automatically after you get fouled when your opponents have more than 10 team fouls)
This player made both FTs and game on at 76-76
5.5seconds left on the clock....
Then came the final play when Scott Reynolds of Villanova ran from half court after a pass from his team mates and he did the stuff of legend....
Scored a short 2 points (Driving past people and dodging players) and all Pittsburg could do was to throw a long shot harmlessly off the board...
Final score - Villanova-Pittsburg 78-76.

Well, to me, none of the teams lost.
They played to the best of their abilities, albeit mistakes here and there.
It was a GREAT game to watch.
Although it's not NBA standard, but it was great to watch.
The hunger, desire and thirst for success.
I believe that all of us should emulate that kind of attitude.
With that attitude, all things are possible.

Redbull keeps us alive (At times).
I have to be alive!!!!!

So I was in the mood for all the kings in Jeremiah days!

King Josiah was a good king. But he did not have a person that could succeed him. His sons, Shallum (Jehoahaz) and Eliakim (led under the name Jehoiakim) and subsequent leaders from that line could not follow suit.

Anyway, read it for your own benefit. Jeremiah is a really good book to read and do start reading the Word as it gives faith!

Anyway, it has been a morning of cleaning and cleaning. Bedsheets, vacuuming, arranging and re-arranging stuff inside my cupboard. It looks so much work-able now.

Some news lately:

The US has announced details of a plan to buy up to $1 trillion (£686bn) worth of toxic assets to help repair banks' balance sheets.

I think this is a good news for everyone. These toxic assets were the cause of most bank failures. Toxic assets - Mortgage and other assets, for example mortgage backed securities. Due to the high default rates of the assets, we call them toxic assets (You are kind of bound to lose money - which isn't very healthy - that's why it's toxic I reckon). It gives a chance for the banks to recover faster than normal with the aid of this plan.

How does it work?

Well, I ripped it from the US treasury website as it is hard to explain:

Bank seeks to sell pool of mortgages worth $100
Private auction decides that asset is now worth $84
Private investor and government put up $6 each
They then borrow remaining $72 from government

Just came back from Justin's 21st.

It was awesome.
Ha ha. I thoroughly enjoyed myself though.
Caught up with many people and get to know some people much better.

Spare the details, but I believed that Justin had a hell load of a day!
He played an excellent host as well.

The speech part was amazing.
His dad and mum just gave an amazing speech about him that moved the crowd of people!

Sometimes, after running for sooo long, you need to take a breather.

I did, 5 mins ago.
Was just studying CAPM.... CAPM..... and CAPM.
Fama-MacBeth and Black, Jensen and Scholes.
All these people... made life harder for Finance students.
Basically what they want to do is just to let us know whether there is a correlation between beta (risk) and Expected Return.
Oh yeah. So they must make us remember so many Finance people (or what do you call finance expert? Financial-ist)

Prayed a couple of things, but some I wouldn't share, maybe at the right time.
When you're at this point of your life.. University, things get a little bit complicated. You worry about a lot of things. Career, money, relationships and a lot of other nitty gritty stuff. Like who doesn't.
And sometimes, like today, I just lift everything up to Him and said a little prayer.
Nothing complex, but the presence filled that room.. and that spirit within me.

Maybe times and seasons are different for many things around us, but our love for God and convictions in life should never be in winter.

I used to love soccer so much that I watch everything on EPL (even your 19th pos vs your 20th pos) - Like West Brom vs Blackburn kind (I've no idea who's there now). Maybe partially due to coverage, I don't even watch Man Utd matches... Ha ha. The 1-4 thrashing would be humilating to watch. I would switch off the TV if Man Utd were trailing by 1-3. Ok too much info. Getting back to CAPM.

Non-stop projects and work.

Although it's just 2 chapters, I've got to really study and do well for it.

Oh yeah, gym yesterday with Koshi was awesome.
It's good to have a mate that you can do gym with.
We kept on saying encouraging words to each other - 4 more, come on, so strong.
lol. Yeah. I think those little factors really work.

The message bible says "By yourself, you're unprotected, but with a friend, you can face the worst" . Don't ever say you don't need anyone, because that is absolutely not true. I have to say that friends are really important, for good or for bad!

Week 8 of Uni I'm in, isn't that sick!?
Ha ha. Yeah and Pastor How preached yesterday for 3 services at C3 Robina.
It was certainly fantastic to have Pastor How preached in this wonderful church!!
Spent quite some quality time with them this time round and I totally enjoyed it.

I haven't been blogging, but hanging around people of faith certainly makes you feel larger, larger than anything.
Pastors message this week was absolutely good, although I have listened to both sermons (First two sermons are the same) before, fresh revelation comes all the time!
The insights I have are very very good.

Apart from all these, I certainly got to know Dom and Jon much better as well. Lol.
Yes, ha ha.
I think that people click much better when they goals and vision are one.
Time will just make up whatever differences they may have.
If I have all the time in the world. (As in 1 year in one day)
If you know what I mean.
It wouldn't be good for our parents as they would have to work 365*21-22 years before we can be independent. lol. Sorry for all the mathematical formulas. But anyway, I just had Corporate Finance and you know what kind of Zone I'm in right now.

I'm absolutely blessed by Ps Don's message tonight.
It was timely.
And it changed my perspective in some ways.

He talked about connections.
It might seem to be the same old topic, but when our hearts are opened, it is not.

Happily busy though.

I'm so fortunate to have 2 amazing people working alongside me.
We did so much together since Saturday and have been meeting everyday since Saturday while doing our own part in our very own time and space.
Well. It's 25% of the total assignment and we want to do our BEST to secure the grades that we want!

Ha ha. Yeah. I'm stoked about this project and I'm raring to go for it tomorrow!

Daily Prayer....

There are things I pray for everyday...
Even Subconsciously.

Spent the whole of yesterday (Well, mostly) at Uni.
Had a meeting with the smarty Danielle.
I couldn't figure out any of the questions though, but she did most the assignment that is meant to be handed in on Friday!

Lol. Felt bad....
Had a Corporate Finance class after that.
Was trying to keep myself awake.
Test result for the Corporate Finance was out (Lol. It was an unannounced quiz though).
I got full marks.
First thing I checked was the handwriting.
lol. I was kind of shock. lol.
I did not study for it and basically used logic to answer all the questions.
Follow you heart when the going gets tough.
But I reckon I'm gonna be more on my toes for the next few "Unannouced quiz".

After that, had a Corporate Finance Group meeting, which didn't go that well...
Then Portfolio meeting.
(Well, I seem like a big businessman).
But anyway, I'm still survivin..

Fortunately, there're no lessons today!

It's been out for quite a while already... I know...
But I only got to catch this movie this morning.
I reckon this is one of the earliest movies I have ever caught... At 10a.m.

I was nearly late for the movie..
Lol. Reached the bus stop at 10a.m.
The bus was playing games with me today.
It was scheduled to reach at 9.35a.m. but it arrived at 9.45 instead.
Apart from that, they took a detour... Lol.
What a day to start with.

It was nice catching up with my goodie friend again! lol.
The person prefers to keep itself unknown.

Anyway....After the movie we had coffee and snacks..
After a good long chat, I headed back to Uni. It was my first movie since week 1. Well. I reckon I do not have the time to catch any till probably week 13-14? Lol. Just guessing..
Everything seemed to be planned.
Went to Uni's very comfy sofa and had a good rest before my lesson.
It was a great day though.
Am going to catch up with International Trade right now

But anyway, life here has been alright!

Love this chapter heaps as it talks about us... We are the clay and God is our potter.
The final product is dependent on the quality of the clay.
What type of clay we are determines the quality of the final product.

Anyway.... I have a quiz later on at 4p.m.
That's pretty fast ehh..
On top of that, I have an assignment due tomorrow which I'm almost done with.
Yuppz.

Caught up for a coffee with Bec yesterday and we exchange some culture of our own.
Ha ha. Was kind of interesting.

Had a good Tuesday myself...

Went to look for career development lady.
In between that and gym, I read an article about Porsche's boss and how he outfoxed the market.
Markets these days are practically on a bear. But the CEO of Porsche kind of took up more shares in Volkswagon and as a result, got more profit from his revenue.....

It sounds ridiculous in the previous sentence because we all learn in school that Profit = Revenue - Cost, but while that is accounting standard way of looking at things, the Finance people have our way of looking at things... Ha ha. Well, I'll leave the research to you guys on why it can happen. But it does happen in real life though.

Anyway, February is a full on month!!!
Ha ha.
I'm settled down and raring to go now.
It took me a couple of days though to get used to seeing so many caucasians... lol.
And the really "wacky" accent. America's accent is much better for the ear.. I reckon.
Well.. Personal opinion though and no offense.

Weee.. Had gym today.. Did almost an hour (Better than last week, for sure!)
and after that, had 2 full court basketball game and my team won both.
Yeah. I had to be on my best though. Lol. It was certainly a great game!
Well, since I've already paid the ever inflated AU$110 for my activities fee, I must as well used it to the fullest.

But I did woke up at 6a.m. today!

Just wanna make it a good habit to wake up early in the morning!

Anyway, I had a great weekend.
On Saturday, Mike and I went cycling!
We cycled from my place to the beach (It's about 20 kms back and forth)
Ha ha. It was quite fun but I am sore from it.
He taught me a few tricks, including how to ride down from stairs.
It was certainly good fun.

Just week 3... Workload is hectic.
Plus computer's not working....
Not the best time here Mr Com!
Lol.

It was a chilly day yesterday.

Stayed over at felix's place the day before yest and we chat the lot.

I told him how good he is as a friend and a person.

Basically sharing whatever our views are of life.

Man! That is something awesome-mo.

I'm not following the Australian Open this year at all.

Ha ha. It is supposedly good I think.

I shall head over to the Rod Laver Arena some time in the future to watch Australia Open.

Been there a couple of times, but never to catch the Australian Open though.

Had a big day yesterday.

Went out with Koshi (My Japanese friend) to get some groceries while he got his protein powder for our gym session.

Lol. It was awesome.

Hit the gym straight after.

Didn't stayed there too long.... After not hitting the gym for a period of time, I guess our muscles can't take long pounding.

After gym, I went to shoot some hoops with the peeps before ending the day.

Man Utd thrashed West Brom 5-0 at the Hawthorns.

It was awesome I reckon although I didn't watch it.

Had Corporate Finance 8a.m. this morning which I reached on time.

Wow. Yeah. I have 3 8a.m.s classes this semester and I want to be on time for all of them!!

It was alright I guess.

Hmmm....
What a title for a Chinese.
It was Australia Day and CNY yesterday but we still had lessons yesterday.

Well, it was alright.
My 2nd week in Uni, things are looking better than they are.
The Lakers beat the Spurs 99-85.
Lol.
Nahh..

So much free time...
So many things to think about.
Yesterday wasn't that bad though, had dinner at Ming's restaurant.
However, the food is bad.
I've been having bad food all the time lately.
Yesterday's lunch at the Japanese inn was horrible.
The fish smelt like some dead fish cooked with onions.
It was terrible!

Then the food at night was just so-so.
But towards the later part of the dish,
the food became worse and worse.

Well.. I did enjoy myself at night later on at the shoot-out.
We went to arcade and did some shootout and I won both rounds.
Pastor How's sermon on real man was heard over and over again on my nice little laptop!

Valkyrie..
Was an awesome movie.
Just like lion for lambs, Tom Cruise acted in a movie that portrayed his excellence in movies, not in some hollywood mega blockbusters.
Yes. Tom Cruise died at the very end.
That doesn't seem too nice for people seeking thrill and action in movies.
Anyway, bought my books yesterday and went to my 4th class of the week, Portfolio and Investment Theory.

Take Charge, Make decisions, make things happen.
I'm catching up on the real man sermon.
Lol. It's really good.

Most of the people in the church office is out somewhere in parts of the world.
Garrett's in Phillipines with Pastors and Rinnah.

Day 3 of Uni

I only kind of get into shape today.
Lol. Went to the bank, had my lunch at Pacas with Felix.

But I've got to say that Property Investment was a really good class.
I enjoyed the class thoroughly.
Interesting lecturer - Young, vibrant and effervescent.

Back in Aussie... 1st day of Uni

My 5th Semester.....

I still remember my very first semester.
When I step into the Uni compound, overwhelmed by it.
Right now, it's just like my home.
I know every part of the University.
Apart from my clique of friends, I know very little people, maybe less than 10 (Exclude those hi-bye friends which I have plenty).

Well. Ha ha. University life is good.
Had International Trade at 8a.m. today.
You know that I must be insane when I reach school at 8.10a.m. on the first day of school.
Lol. It never happens.... Because I never had an 8a.m. lesson on Monday. Lol. Not funny I know.

But then it took a lot out of me to wake up for the lesson.
lol. Saw a couple of familiar faces in the theatre, but didn't say hi to any of them. Just sat at the fourth row listening to the lecture while trying to keep myself awake.

Met Danielle (My friend who went to UK for an exchange). Shout her coffee as we sat down and talk about our lives. Didn't talk much. Probably about half an hour? Cool to know some smart people from your class eh!

Anyway... Corporate Finance next. It was ok. I sat in front of the tutor, but couldn't help myself as I was dozing off all the time. lol. Think everyone saw that. lol.

All in all, today was a good day.
Played my guitar a little when I reach home.

Lions for Lamb was awesome.

Surprising, I couldn't say a word when I took the mike.
I really didn't know what to say.
I guess sometimes I think a bit too much.
Maybe, maybe not.
But well, all is over.

Ha ha. Was a good movie that forces you to think soo much.
Tom Cruise was in it, but nevertheless not a hollywood happy ending.

I'm not a master at stringing words.
I just want to be one who can put words into action.
Act as if you'll be the last person for the job.
Be someone important in ministry. Make sure that you make yourself indispensable.
Janine (Meryl Steep) in the movie was 57 years old. However, she held to her convictions by not publishing the story of the senator. That's cool. That shows idealism.

Had a great chat with Pastors after Lions for Lambs last night.
I can see the love that Pastors have for us last night.
He enjoyed himself and it's our privilege really to sit in that class with Pastors.
Learnt so much from him.

I do need more time to think about such a movie though and the thoughts are finally more concrete today.

Anyway, went to watch Man Utd vs Chelsea with Liane, DT and Marcus Ong.
3-0.
Nth to say.
Ha ha. Overjoyed I would say.
